Who would we be thinking would be getting an upgrade/change in their guernsey number for 2009?

I'm thinking of some possibile ones:

CJ (Currently 38)
Eddy (Currently 40)
Attard (Currently 43)
Allen (Currently 36)
Mini (Currently 32)
Armitage (Currently 20)
Steven (Currently 34)
Connors (Currently 37)
Geary (Currently 42)

Something like...

CJ ==> 6 (I expect Fisher to be de-listed/traded)
Eddy ==> 15 (Gardi finishing)
Steven ==> 20 (Armo's #)
Armitage ==> 4 (Vacant atm)
Allen ==> 9 (G's old one - UNLESS we draft a KPP FWD, then it's his)
Geary ==> ?
Connors ==> ?
Mini ==> ? - Probably stay 32
Attard ==> ? 43 Seems alright

Also, retire 17 FOREVER. It is a jinx... Birss was horrible in the 17, and now Fiora has gotten worse in the 17!

No Fiora jumped on the #17 after Stephen Powell retired.

If we delist L Fisher, M Gardiner, M Ferguson, F Gehrig & R Harvey and elevate R Eddy and A McQualter, that leaves 4, 6, 9, 15, 21 & 35 open.

I don't think we should issue 35, at least for a year.

20 - 1st Round Draft Pick
21 - Geary
36 - 2nd Round Draft Pick
38 - 3rd Round Draft Pick

Retiring 35 for a year or two might be a good idea.

I would only consider giving Jones a lower #. Lower # have to be deserved and should not be given out cheaply..

who says gardi is retiring? he's been playing good footy for the 2's. i dont think anyone who has a number lower than 35 will want it, can't see armo changing from 20, why did number 4 get retired? thompson wasnt anything particularly special

I'd like Jones to get the 4, in particular because he's an older "rookie" (I know he's not technically a rookie, but you know what I mean), who's made a name for himself, primarily because of his toughness. That just cries out Andrew Thompson to me.

Armo's got enough ego to want to hold onto the 20 and make it his own (and I don't mean that as an insult - in this case, "ego is not a dirty word"...).

Grr L2H4G you have such a similar name to L2M4G, couldn't you have come up with something less similar to L2M4G, lucky 'Me's' avitar is some chinease old bloke so i can tell the difference.
