B: Chris Newman - Kelvin Moore - Jordan McMahon
HB: Jay Schulz - Luke McGuane - Will Thursfield
C: Matt White - Shane Tuck - Richie Tambling
HF: Nathan Brown - Jack Riewoldt - Mitch Morton
F: Shane Edwards - Richo - Trent Cotchin

1R: Troy Simmonds - Brett Deledio - Nathan Foley

Int: Adam Thomson - Joel Bowden - Adam Pattison - Mark Coughlan

Obviously Johnson is out with that hamstring injury.

Richo back at full forward after almost winning the brownlow on a wing? And, replaced by Matty White :o

Reckon Shane Edwards might struggle this year, he WILL have far more competition for his place than last year.

And, would love to see Rance give Bowden/Schulz a kick in arse.

Also... Cotchin on the wing, Tambling can watch and learn about how to make the most of your opportunities ;)

richmonds team in round one is going to be tight. when i was making a team i forgot about a couple of people. if Coughlan is not back id think jackson or hislop to come in. and i would like one of thomson/hislop to play a role in the back pocket and see how that turns out. we may even find our bp player for the next 10 years.

hopefully by round seven someone that would be struggling gets going and plays well. like kelvin moore this year.:thumbsu:

Close but I prefer the following:

B: Newman, Thursfield Moore
HB: Tambling, Schulz, McMahon
C: Richardson, Cotchin, Polo
HF:Morton, Reiwoldt, Connors
F: Vickery, Deledio, Brown
Foll:Simmonds, Tuck, Foley
Int: Coughlan, Pattison, Rance, White

Plenty unlucky to miss as we have real depth now. Vickery, Pattison and Simmonds should be a 3-way rotation between ruck, forward pocket and bench
Midfield rotation of Foley, Tuck, Deledio, Newman and White.
FF Deledio swapping with Richo with both playing 100% game time

That back line is not very offensive. Good sides have run out of their backline.

A backline of (see below) is a lot more offensive.

Newman Thursty McGuane

Tambling Moore McMahon

*Bolded players are designated rebounders

Even more offensive would be Rance in for McGuane as he is a running back.

Newman Thursty Rance

Tambling Moore McMahon

Play Shulz/McGuane/Post off the bench to give another option.

I think the Future backline will look something like:

Newman Thursty Moore

Tambling Rance McMahon

Playing Moore on the least dangerous forward will allow him to zone off and then attack from the back line. Tambling could be rotated with McGuane/Shulz/Polak/Post when another tall is needed.

It wasn't meant to be funny. I'm just amazed that people are still making round 7 2009 teams.

Well, like who cares. Are you quite finished posting "Gotcha!'' threads? Why not spend your ample free time baiting supporters of rival clubs?

have we completed the R7 team yet? When its done, we all should debate who will get the votes in R7 and who will be dropped from the R7 team and who will take their place for R8. ;)

I didn't start this thread...And it's not a 'Gotcha!' thread, it's sante taking the piss out of the thousands of repetitive threads asking people to make a team for a specific time. Quite obvious, but a lot of people didn't seem to understand. I don't care, I just find it amazing.

At the moment it looks like it's all about match ups in our backline. last season full back duties was shared between players depending on who was at full forward. i thought it worked well. it would be nice to have a m scarlett but at this stage horses for courses seems ok.
