2009 Trade Discussion - Part 3

Gday guys, quick question:

Im planning on doing 4 trades over the next two weeks...two of them involve downgrading walker/skipworth, then upgrading the other the next week.

Do you think it would be safe to downgrade walker this week, or do you think he will get his BE and make me a bit more cash?

Thanks

is T.Tuck to Hartlett a good idea, or will Tuck get his form back?

will be looking to upgrade either one of these later in the year and looks like if both players keep up their current form they should be about the same price, if not Hartlett a bit more.

any thoughts also on which would be better -

skip to gia

or

skip to goodwin?

i'm kind of leaning towards goodwin at the moment

Just a piece of advice for people who are trading in Warren this week...

Make sure you are selecting Ben Warren, not Warren Benjamin (also NM) :)

Need some help

This week thinking I will probably trade Dalziell to Sewell for my first trade & that will leave me with $70,300 left in the bank.

My second trade is the one i'm not sure about. Here are my options -

1/ (Forward line consists of Richo with H.G.Brown & Skippy sitting on the pine.) so if Richo or Brown doesn't play would probably trade Skippy ($321,100 to play with) Best options would be Wiggins ($306,200) , S.Cox ($304,500) or J.Russell ($290,500) all avg. about the same approx. 82

2/ If Richo plays use my second trade - Out: Robinson In: Barham or Hartlett (As I have a few stale cows like Cheney , Robinson , Walker etc.)

3/ If Rich Plays just use the 1st. trade

ey guys dnt no if i shuld do nething this week, i havef 45,000 in the kitty and the site is as follows

cornes, goddard, houlihan, adcock, enright, hill, petrenko - raines, broughten

ablett, gibbs, cornes, selwood, rich, hasleby - beams, zakarakis

cox, sandilands - spencer, jacobs

higgins, deledio, pavlich, gia , krakouer, zeibell, walker - skipworth, brown

- i feel i need a big player in the fwd line, if im to push for a better ranking, but not sure wat do to, because i can wait for raines as he is due back soon

^^ similar team to yours, im trading haselby to hartlett and upgrading skipworth to buddy or reiwolt..haselby struggled with the tag in the first halfe last week and with palmer gone will get more attention, i feel confident between beams, zaha and hartlett they can cover that last midfield role

I am pondering Petrenko to Hodge this week. Forwards will be crap (Ziebell,Warren and M Brown in 22) but not worried because there should be a stack of viable options in 2-3 weeks time. Hopefully richo at 370ish Pav 360ish, Didak maybe 340ish.

just wondering who are some downgrade targets for skippy?
i have been away for the last little bit, and havent had the chance to see whos been playing or debuting and whatnot, any help would be appreciated.

Just a note to a few people, don't feel like you 'have' to get Hartlett because it is the 'in' thing to do and everyone is doing it. Only do it if you are ready to downgrade. Lots of people seem to be looking to odwngrade guys like Beams and Otten who still have big price rises in them, Otten scored 90odd last week! Give the kid a chance and let him make you some money, Kane cornes only scored 70 FFS.

Half of the skill in dream team is knowing when to pull the trigger, when to reload and when to sit tight, if you think hartlett will have enough job security, make you steady cash (or play out the rest of the season on your bench) and you have a cow thats ready to be cashed in then look at making the trade, if not you are just wasting money and a trade. There will certianly be more cows coming through as there always is.

Here some names to have a look at, Nahas, Warren, Grant, Lynch.

There isn't much around in the forwards so maybe look to upgrade/sideways trade or look at getting a rookie who will get games shortly who will be a better option than those named. The bulldogs guys look a little iffy so you may want to wait another week, Nahas has had one rise already but looked excellent on the weekend and Warren is going into his 3rd game.

Weighing up between upgrading Malceski to either Mackie or Enright this week. Does anyone have a preference?

Hoping they will average at least 20 more than Mal for the remainder of the season which makes the trade worthwhile.

I think Enright is the safer option and may average around 90-95 from here on in where as Mackie might be more risky but could end up averaging 95-100.

My current backs are
Goddard, Fisher, Hodge, Houlihan, Malceski, Hill, Suban (Petrenko, Raines)

So presumin Hoops can fill the 7th back roll is an average of 90-95 from here on enough for a 5th/6th backman? (I hope to bring Chornes in at some stage to finalise the back division).

Not downgrading this week, is a waste of a trade/s as my cows still have growth left in them.

Gotta replace Boomer at some stage, will have a look at the b/e's but have got my eye at this stage on Buddy, possibly next week.

Wow, comparing a best and fairest, all-australian, premiership player, premium DTer and someone that hasn't missed a game in 6 years that was also playing the top side to a 7 gamer that scored well against the wooden spooners. Yeah that looks balanced.

Back in the real world, Otten is still 2 weeks away from peaking, and de boer, davenport or cockie looking like possible downgrade targets.

$63,000 difference between Hartlett and De Boer. If De Boer fires like we'd hope we will have 2 more weeks to let the likes of Rich, Beams and Otten rise a bit more. As much as i'd feel good about having Hartlett i think i'm going to pass. If Warren is named i'll trade out Walker though to fund Suban>>>>Premium back possibly next week and hopefully have Hurley back as well. Anyone else passing on Hartlett?

Making a couple of changes this week. Now down to 17 trades left.

Decided Doughty wasnt doing enough and he made way for Luke Hodge. And with Palmer now out of the fremantle midfield I reckon Hasleby will get all the attention from taggers so he has been replaced by Hartlett.

Now leaves me with 182,500 in funds for upgrades in a few weeks or so... injuries permitting of course.

I'm in toss up mode on Hartlett. If DeBoer is really going to debut this week i might just hang on to my rookies for another couple of weeks, but Hartlett is one of those that is going to play week in week out so you've always got him there if you need him to step up.
