I so happy that we only have to play Adelaide and Collingwood once this year :D

A lot of Saturday arvo games in Sydney next year.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this draw.... Adelaide and Collingwood only once each, we play the dogs and cats twice each but also get 2 goes at Freo, North and Richmond.

Broken down into where they finished on the 2009 ladder looks like this.

Top 4: 6 games (4 Home + Manuka, 1 Away)
5-8: 5 games (2 Home, 3 Away)
9-12: 4 games (2 Home, 2 Away)
13:16: 7 games (3 Home, 4 Away)

Looks good like that, plenty of games against bottom teams, mostly home games against top teams.

Only play St Kilda, Adelaide and Collingwood once which is great. Our only trip to Perth is to play Freo.

Loving the Saturday games.:thumbsu:

I HATE Satruday afternoon games it may mean we wont be members next year because it is a waste of money. My kids have sport on Saturdays and it is jst too difficult to get to games on Saturday afternoons. I was excited about next year now im flat

Good draw. :thumbsu: I'll probably be back in Melbourne next year so 3 games at the MCG is good. 6 games all up in VIC. I liked the Sat afternoon games this year, so I have no problem with that.

Last 5 rounds are tough so we would want to be in a decent position before then to make the finals. Overall I'm happy with the draw.

so much for a big Barry Hall reunion match

wished there was more than 5 games in Melbourne :(

but overall a pretty good draw competitively..... but it sucks from a promoters POV.... two games against North and Freo, but only once against Collingwood.... and the whole Barry Hall return is at Manuka

no excuses for bottom 4 next year, we should improve given the draw.... but hopefully crowds are strong for those lesser games that i mentioned

Message to all Melbourne based swans supporters

Is it just me or is anyone else a little annoyed that there are no night games in Melbourne for the swans in 2010? We play most games(Melbourne games) on Sunday afternoons and most of these games are a 1:10pm start. I have no problem with this as I will go to all games, I'm just a little peed off that there are no Saturday night games in Melbourne.

solid, pretty happy not to be playing pies and crows twice!!

I always hated Sat night because I go out that night, but I know where you are coming from, one at least

Melbourne based fans have had a gutfull of 5 games here then 1 in geelong where only 1000 members can go, we have been shafted again down here. Why do we have to play Vic sides in the ACT, they should be here.

Cool, now I can start planning my trips to Sydney! I like the Sat afternoon games, it means I won't have to rush back to Melbourne on Sunday night after the game. Go for a few drinks Saturday night...have a leisurely brunch on Sunday morning...see some friends...go home :thumbsu:

Hi guys and girls.

I've updated my fixture builder with the 2010 dates.

It builds CSV, iCal and PDF fixtures to import into Outlook/Thunderbird/Google Calendar/etc. Obviously the PDF is for printing!

You can customise your calendars, set reminders, categories, etc.

I have also built iCal (ics) calendars you can subscribe to, which will be updated with scores etc. once the season has started.

To create a customised calendar, go to: http://www.thismonkey.com/cgi-bin/football-fixture.pl?start=2010&end=2010&type=ha&code=afl

and to subscribe to 2010 calendars, go to: http://offsite.thismonkey.com/fixtures/afl/calendars/aus/2010/index.html

Please leave feedback if you like it, hate it, or think it needs improvement.

(You can find other football codes at http://www.thismonkey.com)

Thanks,
Go Pies,
Scott

I like the draw overall. Looks quite simular to last year on first glance with a few differences. More Saturday Games are good. And as was mentioned before, we only play Collingwood once! The last time that happened would have to be 2002 or earlier.

Why would you go to all that trouble when the papers will have it in their Saturday editions with game times and whos broadcasting, waste of time i would think!

Broken down like that this draw is excellent for our chances. Only 1 interstate match against top 4's! Bring it on!

Pretty favourable draw this year in contrast to last. Geelong and the Dogs twice but at least we've only got Adelaide and Collingwood once.

I'm a big fan of the Saturday afternoon game, glad to see a couple more of them this year.

And one less game at Homebush. Win.

And it's Geelong at Skilled, so no Top 4 teams in Melbourne.

yes but only 5 in Melbourne, 10,000 Melbourne members being treated like shit once again.

You say that as if the Swans got to choose their draw.
