Best on ground in the AFL Grand Final this Saturday afternoon, Collingwood vs St Kilda. Market only opened recently, thought I'd start a thread. Will get on it, if I have a win at the Brownlow tonight :)

Most likely choices, TAB odds:

Dane Swan - 5.00
Alan Didak, Scott Pendlebury, Nick Riewoldt - 8.00
Brendan Goddard, Lenny Hayes 11.00

pendlebury will win it if pies do..

I would put much on pendles, he will have Jones tagging him all day.

The StK guys who are value:

Montagna $17 good record v pies & in form
Hayes $15 just an amazing player
Fisher $67 always has huge numbers v coll

Coll players value:

H.Shaw $21 likely to get plenty of space to run off HB

I think if Coll win Swan is hard to beat as they'll need a big day from him to win....very even team.

Agree with all of this

thought jones might try and go to didak..

in that case...

hayes - fisher - shaw - didak..

my only 4 bets.

I still maintain Swan losing the Brownlow is a huge bonus for us on Saturday.

That will be the first time he can actually take it out on someone.

50 possessions.

The Norm Smith selectors will be falling over themselves to give him the award as payback for no Brownlow.

5-1 is massive overs.

In the Norm Smith, he doesn't have to beat Judd or Ablett either. So he is already ahead.

And Hayes didn't make the All Australian team, so he's a monty for the Norm Smith...

I wouldn't pick Swan. He only polled best on ground twice this year and that was in big wins against Hawthorn and Richmond. He's consistant, no doubt, but that might be his undoing.

Maybe Swan is guilty of his own standards. It's rare that he has a bad game, he just gets the job done week in week out.

I'd be looking for a 'match winner'. Riewoldt may not win the match for St Kilda, but he will die trying. If St Kilda come close and Roo gets a bag of goals i would have my money on him. 10/1 on sportingbet at the moment.

Perhaps the player who shuts down Reiwolt will win - check out Maxwell at 50-1.

There's not a hope in hell that Maxwell will play on Riewoldt..if he does somehow get him, it will be after Riewoldt destroyed Brown/Reid and kicked 6 already.

Roughies:
J.Gram @ $26.00
Gwilt @ $67.00
S.Fisher @ $61.00 :thumbsu:
O'Brien @ $21.00
Jolly @ $34.00
Shaw @ $26.00

I'll be chucking probably $10 on all them.

Then loading up on Riewoldt/Pendles/Hayes/Goddard

As long as Judd doesn't play i tend to agree with all of this.....& the same sentiment applies for Hayes (missing all Aus). If either of these guys play well & their team wins i would be confident of the NS going their way.
