The winner of the Tour of Denmark may be leaving Saxo bank...

http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/5139/Jakob-Fuglsang-I-wont-be-riding-for-Alberto-Contador.aspx

Danish rider Jakob Fuglsang has dropped a strong hint that he will be one of an increasing number of Saxo Bank riders to be following Fränk and Andy Schleck to their newly created team in Luxembourg. Unwilling to actually confirm his intentions for 2011, the 25-year-old has instead stated that he will not be riding in support of the Saxo Bank’s newest recruit: Tour de France winner Alberto Contador.

After signing Andre Greipel, Lotto have resigned Sebastian Lang and Olivier Kaisen...

http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/5...bastian-Lang-and-Olivier-Kaisen-for-2011.aspx

While the signing of HTC-Columbia sprinter, Andre Greipel, to Belgium's Omega Pharma-Lotto team will guarantee many wins for the team in 2011, the team headed by Marc Coucke continues to focus on signing top support for the coming season to help bolster its three big stars, Philippe Gilbert, Jurgen Van Den Broeck, and now Andre Greipel.

The latest announcements from the team report that both Olivier Kaisen and Sebastian Lang will continue with the team for next season.

Building a pretty good team is Lotto after Cadel left. Plenty of cash to throw around it seems.

Renshaw signs new deal with HTC...

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/renshaw-signs-new-deal-with-htc-columbia

Mark Renshaw has signed a two-year contract extension with HTC-Columbia, committing himself to the team until the end of 2012. The Australian has been a hugely important element of sprinter Mark Cavendish's lead-out train over the past two seasons and it comes as no surprise that the team has rushed to secure his services for the foreseeable future.

Cav will be a happy man.

Re: 2010/11 Cycling Transfer Thread

Reading around a bit, seem Menchov may leave Rabobank. Astana/Vino, who are apparently in talks with David Arroyo also, a strong contender as Deni would be a good replacement for Contador.

I was reading yesterday that Astana are keen to get the Schlecks, but apparently they have signed with RadioShack on the proviso that the Luxembourg team doesn't get up and running. They will be with the new Luxembourg outfit if it does actually happen.

Menchov is Astana's next preference, behind the Schleck brothers.

I highly doubt the Schlecks are going to Radioshack, the Luxembourg team is pretty much setup...

Re: 2010/11 Cycling Transfer Thread

Armstrong offered Andy a shit load of money at the end of last year but he didn't take it because they didn't want Frank. And Armstrong is definitely after someone to step in as he hates losing and won't be riding next year.

If Rogers doesn't go to one of these teams then it means he's given up on TDF hopes.

So Ricco has definitely been released? Just a matter now of which pro-tour team signs him and then he's Vuelta bound.

Re: 2010/11 Cycling Transfer Thread

I agree that the Schlecks are bound for the Luxembourg team, just reporting what I read on cyclingnews.

Armstrong is desperate to have a genuine GC rider on his team from 2011, when he'll no longer be that rider himself. It's getting harder and harder to see who that rider might be.

Rogers came out and said that he is done with 3 week tours as a GC rider and is focussing on 1 week stage races like the Dauphine etc.... I think he would make an excellent 1 day specialist (I also think Cadel should focus on this as well)..

Well Astana has made an offer to Roman Krueziger. Menchov has been speaking with Katusha, feel that might be the likely move.

Re: 2010/11 Cycling Transfer Thread

Ricco needs to be on a team by the 15th of August to have any chance of riding in the Vuelta. Were rumours back a couple of months saying he could go to Quick Step.

Re: 2010/11 Cycling Transfer Thread

With Exodus from Saxo I assume Richie Porte will start the TDF next year?

Also I think Mencov-->Katusha

Kreuzinger ---> Radioshack

Re: 2010/11 Cycling Transfer Thread

Quick Step could land Ricco.

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/ricco-could-land-at-quick-step

Quick Step manager Patrick Lefevere has said that he will meet with his sponsors tomorrow before deciding whether or not to open negotiations with Riccardo Riccò, but stated that he could see no reason why his team should not consider signing the controversial Italian.

Saxo Bank raids Astana...

http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/5...ernandez-and-Navarro-sign-with-Saxo-Bank.aspx

The Saxo Bank team has announced that Alberto Contador’s right hand men Benjamin Noval, Jesus Hernandez and Daniel Navarro will also transfer to the team from the current Astana setup, backing their compatriot in his bid to win the next two Tours de France.

No really surprise, interesting to see who is next and whether the likes of Fabian and Jens change teams.

Re: 2010/11 Cycling Transfer Thread

Surely fabian will leave?
Fabs has been linked to BMC, but that was before the Schlecks had confirmed they were leaving.

Although I still think BMC need to go after an Arroyo or some other domestique if Cadel has any Grand Tour aspirations.

Re: 2010/11 Cycling Transfer Thread

Fabian to BMC I reckon, considering it's a Suisse team and the Schlecks have gone. But they need a super domestique like sblack suggested, Moinard is a decent signing but not much better than Morabito.
