The guy wasted half his tennis life with injuries. When he finally got his act together, he ran into a hot Rafa and Roger.By champion i dont mean to say winner of multiple grand slams, by champion i mean to say that he gives his all every match. To beat Ferrer you really have to beat him, unlike Roddick or Hewitt. You guys are taking it too literally.Anyway its just opinion, who would you have playing for your life? Hewitt or Ferrer?

Not sure why you're using Hewitt as an example of a player that doesn't give their all. No matter what you think of the guy, he has always been a massive fighter on court.

Ahhh, easy Hewitt, haven't seen a player that has fought any harder in my lifetime so far.

Assuming they have to win when playing for your life, easy, Ferrer. :thumbsu:

I'm obivously talking pre-injury, at peak Hewitt, so Lleyton 2000-2005/2006.

Problem with hewitt is his serve. He always struggled to get his first serve in.At best he averaged 60% first serves in.

You are using the word "champion" in the way footy fans for instance would refer to matthew Richardson as a "champion". Now Richo never smelt the GF never mind won one but he was a great champion footy player. Champion means indomitable will and honest effort allied to class and longevity.

yep thats pretty much it.You never know if Richo played for Brisbane or Port Adelaide he might have been multiple flag winner and yeah i know ifs and buts have no place, but just making it clear, i am using the word champion in a vague manner here.
