Our byes are very well placed Luckier than Essendon? Who have their byes at 3 and 9. Not too sure if it was essendon, it could be Brisbane.

Can't remember where I saw the article, but it was centred around Geelong having a rough draw because they play 4 teams coming off a bye. Typically, it wasn't until half way through the article that they mentioned that Sydney also play 4 teams coming off a bye.

I wasn't too worried about that as you could argue that coming off a period of good form can sometimes be better than coming from a rest. Interesting to hear people's thoughts. The teams we play immediately after their bye are:

Richmond
Collingwood
Fremantle
Geelong

I'm not too worried about that. A team like Collingwood is likely to string together a big run of wins at some point during the season and the most likely time to upset them could be off a momentum killing bye.

Well both Essendon and Brisbane don't need their byes late in the year, they'll get plenty of rest in September.
