To you and stat(who said mcveigh was outstanding and only gave him a couple of votes) He was good but i wouldn't say he was hard at it or smothered, in fact i did comment to friends last night that he is finally playing well but he had chances to smother but doesn't

Just reviewed the video. First half he does a good smother. Of his disposals (2nd highest for Swans) many were contested, all but 4 were directly to a Swans player in good position or a score. 3 went to 50:50s and one quick kick went OOF. He had a shag load of clearances and inside 50s, kicked 2 goals and his hands were clearly the cleanest in the wet of all the Swans. He played the role he was given very well. Compare with JPK who had more disposals but often just banged it on the boot, McVeigh's were much more effective. He also provided a number of very telling shepherds. McVeigh tends to play smart football. He thinks through his options and usually picks the right one. That may not look like he's playing 'hard' but it's effective for him. At the end he was knackered.

I actually gave him a vote. I would say every player was buggered after the game.

There were a number of occasions where I saw him smother or put in hard, gut-running efforts. You calling me a liar?

Seriously though, I have been right in your corner all year bedders, this is the first time I've shown any sort of appreciation of McVeigh. Surely I'm allowed to just this once?
