The one on the left is the artwork from the '10 poster.

Swan was our best player, and the league's best player last year, so that's why Knight put him on it

Of course if we win I'll buy, but I'm not liking the Knight era.
It seems they will forever have the same Premiers banner at the bottom, and once he chooses a "look" for a team mascot he'll stick with it. No one is saying he should imitate or copy WEG, but just be completely original every year.

For Geelong, variants of the WEG 80s cat has always been the best. WEG even used it for the retro posters the Herald had him do e.g. the Cats 1925 one. Then for 51 and 52 he used fat, mean cat variants.

WEG's '79 one is just a big Jezza. In fact, I think all the Carlton ones represent a single player. After all... there's not much else you can use...

And hell, he used Sheeds twice for Essendon.

I'm surprised there isn't an individual Collingwood one for '11.

One postive for not winning in 2008, was that cats poster was f'ing awful.

I'd like to see Knight make ones featuring both mascots in it.

I think these are better than WEG, aesthetically, to be honest. If I didn't know anything about the history of the artwork, I'd prefer these.

WEGs are great because of the tradition and connection to the history of the game.

When I said "weg" I actually mean't this Knights guy. I just thought he took over.

The original wegs were the best when he was alive. Weg Art is still good, the new posters are a ****ing joke

because all weg art is a compillation of wegs old drawings

there is no front man o promote them

and mark knight is real and can promote the posters

and weg art is a family business for self profit - the herald sun donates the money to rch

and mark knight can contribute a giant poster when the afl ordain their premiership
