Neither team is there yet. In our case if we'd made the 8 we'd have been bundled out like you mob in recent years. Neither here nor there until you're a definite chance. (But thanks for the well wishes. )

A better way to put it is you would have been bundled out like Essendon. .. Our recent finals exits until 2011 might have been first game but it was hardly one sided. ..

Depends on the opponent. Only Collingwood and Geelong really took us apart this year. I think we'd have put up a decent show against the Blues, Swans and possibly Saints (assuming we'd have replaced Essendon). Naturally you lot will disagree.

Regardless, the point I'm making is that like you guys hovering at the edge of the eight, it does no good till you can make the top 4 and be truly competitive at that level. We're not there, and neither, yet, are you guys.

If you played Carlton at the MCG, as opposed to Etihad, in the first week of the finals I can quite confidently say it would have been a blow out. .. Additionally there was a large gap between the top5 and the rest this year, so you cannot say Carlton is still hovering around the 'edge' of the eight. ..

ok so the Fixture is out, and i was wrong about playing Hawthorn and WCE twice. instead we're playing Brisbane and St Kilda twice..... oh well, i guess that works in our favour.
