Sorry, but you have to be one of the most dellusional posters around.

We have a lot of ruckmen? Caddy is not a hack, Toy is highly rated skillwise, but cant put it together for fitness or whatever reasons. Josh Hall should be delisted, Nicholls should be traded.
I just do not Caddy and IMO he won't be missed too much. Likewise with Toy.

I have seen Tom Nicholls play this year and I would say that he has the most potential of all the rucks at the Suns.

I will preface my comment with that Charlie Dixon is a jet, however I see him more in the forward line and pinch hit ruckman when needed. He can also play in defence if needed.

Nichol's palming of the ball is first class and he seems to position himself around the ground to take contested marks.

At 20 years old and 200cm plus he has all the attributes of a first class ruckmen needs.

If Giles walks out of GWS, it could tempt them to draft Grundy with pick #1. Especially if they're unable to secure a more senior body.

Which would leave Whitfield for us at pick #2. We'd be all over that if it came to that, leaving Viney for the Dees.

Giles to leave? He is like the one of the first on the GWS list... :X

Heard Giles was uncontracted but didn't think he'd be leaving, especially so soon.

Rumours going about that he has rejected the offer GWS put to him. Could be leaving since he has yet to re-sign and is out of contract this year.

No actual word on whether he'll leave of course, but yeah. Something to keep note of.

Yeh it was an interesting report from sports news first, big pick up for the Crows if they get him, big loss for GWS, and decreases Gorringes worth to the Crows aswell.

Best part of the article was that Tippett looks certain to head to the Suns on a lucrative long term deal. Yeeeeewww! :)

If we get Tippett and Whitfield somehow this offseason... WOW!!! Have you got a link to this article by any chance?

I hope Gaz has a son and nominates Gold Coast :D

Well this won't be happening soon, Gaz and his long term girlfriend have split apparently. That's right ladies the best paid sportsman on the coast is now its most eligible bachelor. Form an orderly queue.

Article here.

SNF have increased their rep a little bit lately, though they're still a bit hit and miss. Don't take it for gospel.

Though considering some of the other articles on the HS I've read lately, SNF isn't that far behind anymore.
Giles is understood to have refused an initial new deal from Giants list manager Steve Silvagni and could be headed for trade talks next month.

But, in an ironic twist, the 200cm ruckman and handy part-time tall forward is being linked with a potential switch to Adelaide Crows and not a return to his original club Port.

Tippett, 25, appears certain to head back to his home state of Queensland to continue his AFL career.

He is tipped to join Gold Coast on a lucrative long term deal.

And men. As if you wouldn't go there haha. Would seriously consider leaving my missus for him.

Thanks Sunny, appreciate it.
On a separate note, the standard of journalism lately has just plummeted hasn't it. I seriously almost think that twitter is the most reliable news source these days - which is a massive worry.

I'm not sure we need Whitfield. He is a fantastic player, but IMO would be behind Swallow and O'Meara from what I have seen and they play similar roles. Too early to tell what he could be, but i'm more inclined to want a hard nosed inside midfielder. Was saying this before Caddy left, now we NEED it

Call me crazy but is it worth looking at Koby Stevens? He is an inside mid which has not really shown a whole lot but is supposedly rated highly.

Could be a good development prospect.

Born in 91. Drafted at #23 in 2009 to WCE (but I believe was touted to go higher).

Purely an inside player and is described as strong bodied, good at getting contested ball and also decent overhead.
The next question is why he isnt cracking it in the eagles midfield... but as far as I have been told by many Eagles supporters is that he is a gun.

Just checked his WAFL stats and averaged 22 touches for East Freo this year (excluding one game where he was injured where had 3). Managed 38 touches and 7 marks in one game. I also believe he played a number of games carrying an injury.

While he isnt a quick fix it may be something to think about. Then again I may just have a soft spot for him and am talking crap. :p

Would be handy addition to any midfield. I'd love to have another young inside mid in our team.

Has similar attributes to Caddy as well. Not as good though unfortunately.

Those of you tweeters out there , there is some freindly banter between Gaz and Whitfield on twitter , gaz asking whitfield how can we get you to the Suns.

Yeah I saw that CB. Was interesting. :D

I started a thread on the D&T board about Koby, asking what his go would be. Some issues with his speed and kicking apparently. Obviously breaking into a midfield with Priddis and Kerr in unreal form is also contributing. From what I got from that thread though, he's very much a one-trick player. Has an inside game but not much else. That won't cut it.

I keep forgetting about Horsley though. He should be inside capable for longer with another pre-season in him.

Cheers for the heads up there Sunny. Keep forgetting the Horse! He will certainly help with our inside mid needs
