Perhaps Toovey could direct his disappointment to some of his own players, particularly the one who stood by and allowed Cam Smith to run straight past him and beneath the posts when he scored his try.

We were off our game but were outplayed by a very impressive defensive unit. Dogs were very, very good. Super impressed with their game today. We made mistakes, couldn't complete our sets and had no imagination in attack. Cronk's kicking game was poor again.
Full credit to the opposition. They didn't allow us to play well.

Agreed, especially about the lack of spark in attack. On the upside, I thought Widdop was pretty damned good at full-back.

Spent all our tickets the week before against Manly. I'm OK with it, if I could decide to beat either Manly or the Bulldogs, it would be Manly every day and forever. We probably also had one eye on the bye.

Widdop is in outstanding form. On the verge of joining the Big 4.

We need more grunt in the forwards. Too small AGAIN. Same thing year after year. Bellamy loves fast, fit mobile forwards. That's great, except when we play the big packs....like the dogs etc.....we get shown up.

Although once AGAIN, I didn't get to watch the game so can't comment.

Pretty much sums it up and summed up how the match went on Sunday.
Why Vave got another contract remains a mystery to me.
