Are prices out yet?

Rookie job security is more linked to skill and soreness (or lack of it backing up) than the team you play for.

Last year I expected GC youth to get games but the reality was they were all rotated quite heavily and only a few really paid off bigtime like Mackenzie which I did not pick.

$114,400 left over.

Either that or replace Morris with Birchall/Hartlett and Pendles with Brad Ebert (which leaves me with about 50k left over depending on which of Birchall and Hartlett I get), who I think will rise quickly for a quick upgrade to whatever midfield premium drops early with the opportunities he'll be given at Port. Getting premiums in quickly might be more important than getting the cream of the crop in this year considering how easy it is to make a side.

I like the players of the above side better (not entirely sold on any of Birchall, Hartlett or Ebert, and Hartlett may not even be listed as a back), but I like the structure of the side including the changes better.

You must have high thoughts on Spurr?

That midfield would basically be the same as my midfield, all the premiums i like, but Swan, Pendles, Stanton, Mundy all have that round 12 bye? could be a tough round for you.

I have to admit im finding it hard for that bye round aswell for the forwards and mids.

4 premium mids out in RD 12 will be interesting

Exactly what i posted above

Thats just begging for zero's although all are worthy candidates for selection. By picking like this it also limits your rookie downgrade and upgrade options. What if another magpie, cat, don, docker, demon or swan are dominating as premiums and are must get before that round, you cant upgrade to them. But the thing that is worse is having a must have rookie who plays for one of those teams, on the bubble round 8-10 they are going to make alot of money and looks like be a very good scorer for the rest of the year, you cant bring them in. So really your limiting your options.

Wouldnt be a problem if it was 2 prems and 2 rookies as you could work yourself around trading out the rookies before the bye.

R12 is much more difficult for the forwards IMO. Players not involved in the R12 bye in the mids include Thompson, Redden, Rockliff, Mithcell, Murphy, Judd, Gibbs, Ablett, Boyd, Priddis, Dal Santo and Hodge. That is a mountain options available outside of the R12 teams.

However in the FWDS, your options are very limited. The top 7 players in terms of total points in 2011 are involved in the R12 bye. Goodes, Johnson, Cloke, Fyfe, O'keefe, Chapman and Zaharakis. Franklin is outside the R12 bye, but the next best option is B Harvey, who only averaged 88, and is aging.

Agree, but i just would have guys like Swan, Pendles, Stanton, Mundy, Barlow et all in my top 5-7 premium mid picks right now if i was to pick a team. They are the players im liking unfortunately you cant pick them all due to the byes.

Very high risk V reward. The bold players are under an injury cloud currently and i havent even checked for the clashes in round 11-13.. Can anyone shed some light on their thoughts on these players? Also how is Morabito travelling.. Dead set gun.

Remaining cash $80 400

A couple of those could pay off, but so many will almost certainly backfire.

If Martin is a forward, he's a lock in almost every side.

If Martin is a Mid/Fwd so should be Swan.

I agree, but it would never happen. Would make it too easy.

I guess Goddard was still a def/mid when he was averaging 113 (DT) and 125 (SC) in 2010, so they should reflect Swan's real position. 33 goals in 2011, more than a goal a game.

Also, source? And does that source tell you whether or not Sylvia is a mid/fwd?

Warnie, Calvin, Roy, Footy Tragic boys, Al from superfooty.

It was all over twitter. Nothing on Sylvia.

A twitter account is so required these days, well at least checking it is good. Can get alot of insight into players, and get a bit of info sometimes on what they are doing, tracking with injury ect ect.

Hdecure, id say those rookies your pretty spot on. I dont know much about Lee Spurr but with freos side i certainly wouldnt say he is a lock/most will pick him ect. But Morris, Luke Brown (i do not know how this guys is a back, hes a small forward), Horsley, Shiels, Miles, Big O, Giles ect are all looking pretty good so far and i guess Porpz is a rookie if hes the FF price. Clifton is another one. I also really like another rookie but will keep him close to myself.

I'm happy with Martin as a forward. I wouldn't have touched him in the mids but as a forward he's a lock. :)

Many of the discounts aren't correct. For example Lenny Hayes listed at $425k (should be $382k), Marty Clarke listed at 115k (should be 141k).

Where are those prices from? Are they from the assistant coach? How much is Porplyzia, if you don't mind me asking? Cheers.
