el oh elBring it on! Just hope the Oilers can finally show some improvement. We have some big defensemen that could help now. A playoff spot would be great.
I'm gonna go with the Rangers for the cup.

Nothing to do with American or Canadian market loving it. In fact, there is a big push to get rid of it. It is just so entrenched in the game though.
Take [fighting] away, and it'll be open season, and there'll be a dozen Marc Savard-like situations each year. Guys like Crosby will be massive targets.
Two reasons why fighting shouldn't be banned after the Parros incident -
#1 - Basically this,
You'd also have a dozen Sean Avery's in the league, because they'd be able to get away with more douche-baggery unpunished.
#2 - The injury was not caused by the fight itself. Yes, Parros had his arms wrapped up when he hit the ice due to a fight, and yes it's very unfortunate that happened - but if you want to ban fighting due to this concussion that was caused, you may as well ban hitting for the concussions that causes. I reckon that sort of fall could take place incidentally in the rub of the game. It wasn't like he took a KO punch or anything.
Side note: I don't want to make accusations, but I've rewatched the Orr v Parros II fight and the Ashton v Tinordi fight and to me it looks like the fight only broke out because Subban wouldn't stop yapping at Orr, and Parros decided to step in. Parros shouldn't have to pay the price he's paying for doing so, but if Subban hadn't been a douche, Parros probably would've skated the rest of the game.
don't forget to mention that Buffalo just rewarded Ott with a 'C' on his jersey at away games.
