If Ebden got his ass into gear and won this challenger, he'll make the main draw of Wimby. No pressure.

A couple of nice wins by Reid and Groth there. Have to be Reid's first top 100 or close to it

Ebden won 6-1 2-6 6-4 and Smith won 7-6 6-2. So they play each other in for a spot in the semis. Sally Peers won her first round match 7-5 6-2. While ver in Japan in the second round of a 50K tournment Storm Sanders beat top seed and world number 155 6-4 6-2. What a great win.

Omar Jasika might be another one to look out for. He knocked out the number 1 seed (ranked 222) in the second round of an Italian future.

Great to hear Sanders is also going well. Judging by twitter she's a good mate of Ash Barty's, they could be causing trouble in a couple of years.:p I think Sanders also beat someone of note at the Sydney quallies, can't for the life of me remember who though.

Sally Peers will be an interesting one. Not that she's every gonna be a world beater but she was absolutely getting annhialted by everyone everywhere and she really shouldn't have been (also barracks for Essendon, i.e. in my good books:p)

Brydan Klein switching allegiances to GB apparently.

Got to be honest, don't really care. Terrible player with no game and a bad temper

Hard to have expectation on Tomic at the moment....

That is what Marinko should be aiming at, think he'll finish close to where is at though.

Hewitt probably not too fussed on ranking but if he stays injury free that would be the lowest you want Lleyton

Ebden will be lucky to be in the top 150

Millman is an interesting one, 75 is possible, but top 100 is the main goal. Hope the results come grass/hard court season time

Duckworth should be aiming there but he needs to be winning more matches to get there

Barton will hopefully improve once they get off the clay

I honestly don't rate Patrick-SMith bu that's would be about right

Cheers. Do they have a forum for aussie tennis? Like this one?

Yeah, that's pretty much the only forum over there I post on. Most others tend to be just tend to be just silly. If you want a good laugh and see where crazy fanatics/stalkers live, go to general messages forum on tennisforum.

Every time I have seen Patrick-Smith (which I admit is only a handful of times), I just don't see the game there, too inconsistent and even then I don't think there's ny huge weapons. Results are saying that. (Did have a nice week last week though). Don't listen to me, at the start of last year I said Marinko was too mentally weak for the top 100. Goes on a tear a month later and makes a ATP final /face palm

Ebden's game has regressed big time, every time I watch him play it gets worse and it doesn't surprise me he is losing sets to players out the top 400.

Ye I have, but all I'm saying is that he should have converted those matches!
To be honest I wouldn't put the Nishikori match in that category as I think the scoreline is deceiving. I was at that match (which I must say had a cricket style atmosphere) and Matty was only up because Nishikori was useless for those two sets. As soon as he started making a few more shots then the level in talent and class between the two was evident. Ebden's level stayed the same throughout that match and it was kind of obvious what would happen.

Have you seen him since the Australian summer? He has not been playing anywhere near as well as he did in those matches.

He hasn't played well since 2012 Indian Wells...

Does anyone know where Lleyton is? Why he isn't playing on the clay?

His ranking didnt get him into the main draw of Monte Carlo, Rome and Madrid and he wasnt gonna play qualies. He will play Nice next week though. He usually only plays 1 or 2 tournments before RG anyways.

Also Tomic wont play at RG.

Tomic hasn't pulled out yet but it's probably going to happen. Article came out today with his father saying he might not play because of mental stamina and that the media have created this situation. Get rid of your father. Now!

Lleyton generally doesn't play that much on clay, wants to be right for Wimbledon/grass season. As Chris said, he is in Nice next week
