2013 the year of the Pie ?When is that dynasty going to start ? This is what we hoped for ,hasn't happened yet?
After winning the flag in 2010................Just! Yes yes we know we won the replay but boy if that ball had bounced the wrong way in the first grand final we would be slashing our wrists .
Think about it Stkilda have won 1 flag in 66 by a point against Collingwood, imagine them having pinched it in the dying seconds and achieving their second flag in their history against yep you guessed it against Collingwood............Nightmares.....Ok it didn't happen thank god!
So 2 years on......2011 we should've won,but didn't.Geelong pinched that flag or did Malthouse sabotage himself,the players and our Club ? Yep that's exactely what he did.
Why did he do that? Because my friends it's called EGO!
He put his own ego in front of everyone and everything else.Hey what's everyone's favorite subject?? THEMSELVES!
Malthouse could have come out of this conundrum a very wise respected man.He could have made history and passed the baton on to Buckley with wisdom and accolades.He could have won back to back flags and maybe we could have playing in another grand final on sat instead of Sydney or Hawthorn.
Look at the smooth transition hand over that Roos handed over to Longmire.Longmire and Sydney are playing off for a premiership this week all thanks to the Sydney trade mark.Good luck to them i hope they win it.
Every year, every opportunity given the media hounds,other clubs their supporters and all other detractors keep trying to destabalise us as often as possible in order to put us off winning flags.
We keep hearing about our salary cap problems,i mean look at the Cloke scenario we finally put to bed,as an example.But no one mentions all the other clubs problems as ferociously as they try to squeeze us do they? An example
What of HAWTHORN'S salary cap?How can they keep recruiting players like gunston,Gibson,Burgoyne,Hale plus keep stars like hodge sewell,Franklin roughead on their lists without a mimimum of fuss?Something is fishy there yet no mention of it?

Buckley your a champ mate! You have had a baptism of fire in your first year and with all the detractors you have had against you still come out on top,you deserve the success that will come your way soon.
Its time now to erradicate the Malthouse era and firmly put your own stamp on this Collingwood side.Make the neccesary changes or tweeks to this side,so we can see some long term success.
