So assuming the world doesn't end between now and December 31st we have 2013 to look forward too.

Etch your name in some internet stone and make some early calls about Essendon in 2013.

  • Essendon will finish top 4
  • JD will kick 20 goals for the season
  • Fletch will go around for one more after 2013
  • Myers will become our No.2 mid

-Essendon to win a final
-Watson ANZAC Day medalist with 40 + 3
-Hurley to kick 50 goals
-Bellchambers and Ryder to kick 40+ goals between them, and have the most hitouts as a combination in the AFL

Fantastic thread idea. I've got 5

We win 15 games.
Scott Gumbleton plays more than 17 games.
We have 2 players in the 2013 AA team.
'The Weapon' will be vindicated.
Alex Browne wins the 2013 Rising Star award

Richmond will miss the 8 and Freo will finish top 4.

Closer to home, Crameri will kick 25 in the first half of the year, then get a lot more attention, freeing up someone else.

Nice idea, here are some guesses...Don't take this as me being a negative nancy

1. It will be Fletchers final year, be it through injury or his own will.
2. We finish around 5th - 8th
3. Tayte Pears is still on the list..Monfries and one of Carlisle/Hooker aren't.
4. Stanton struggles and his position becomes questioned as the younger mids begin to rise.
5. We lose to GC in a tight one mid year which seperates us from the top 4 for another year and puts them in finals contention. 6. Hurley goes to the backline.. JD takes his spot in the fowardline.

Well..
  • We finish 5th with 14 wins.
  • Watson finished top 3 in the Brownlow.
  • Hooker/Monfries won't be on the list.
  • Hurley kicks 40 goals.
  • Fletcher plays his last season.
  • Melksham has a breakout season.
  • And Elliot Kav breaks into the seniors for 8 games.

Hurley puts an end to the forward / back dispute.
..... .. .... .... ... ....
Top 4.
Lloydy joins TRB and has a boy.

To have the least soft tissue injures in the Afl.
Winderlich and Myers to play very game.
Fletcher's form to be so good he contemplates going on.
Ryder and TBC to become a powerful rucking combination.
Hurley to overcome hand and hammy issues.
Youngsters continue to improve.
Weapon to show everyone that he has more than justified his worth.

Wow

Comparing Beams to Melksham.

Do you realise that Beams in 2010, as a second year player, played in a premiership, and was 6th in the B and F.

Not sure if serious.

Melky breaks out Dayne beams style, can't remember if Dayne got dropped at the end of last season but if not he was damn close.

Beams shredded the end of last season, can't remember his stats but he averaged about 125 SC points in the last month.
So yeah not an apt comparison.

Prediction: Jake Melksham plays at least 4 games that are to the standard of Geelong 2011

People's recollections of Beams last year are coloured by his finals series, particularly his preliminary final- was almost W.O.G.

But was clearly playing injured.

3-- james retires after last round and is replaced by sheeds

5--- hurley wins AA selection as chb
6--- jobe takes charlie home again
7-- 2 players come out of the closet one a bomber one a tiger ( no they are not an item )
8-- we miss finals by 1 %
9-- andrew demetriou is sacked for hiring meatloaf as 2013 grand final entertainment1
10 -- james takes over as C.E.O of afl bringing in a new dawqn of sucess for the E.F.C

JD kicks three on debut
Myers plays every game
Winderlich makes the All Australian squad as a small forward
Hooker to make the All Australian squad as fullback
Zaharakis wins his second B&F

Everything that comes to mind is horrible and I don't want to say it.

Not feeling all that bullish about next year at all. Although the standard is winning a final, absolutely.
