#44 Essendon – Darcy Cameron (WA – Ruck/KPF)
Height: 203cm, Weight: 98kg, DOB: 18/07/1995
Recruited from: Claremont
Style: Dean Cox
Player comparison:
Range: 30-rookie
Profile: The best ruckman in what is a shallow draft for ruckmen. Cameron is one of the better ruckmen this year because he is not only an effective tap ruckman but because he can present as a target up forward and influence games in the front half with his clean hands overhead and ability to take marks as well as convert from those opportunities. Cameron has some size on his frame already which is encouraging and he covers the ground reasonably well for a young tall.

Although If we can change his name to Rory Cameron... I'm in.
Lots of Darcy's coming through this year. Might have something to do with the Pride and Prejudice airing on the ABC in the mid 90's. What's the bet we start seeing draftees with the first name "Bieber" in about 16 years time?

How ar
e you streaming trade radio I cant get it to work on my work PC had it on monday now gone

Just went to the AFL site and clicked on trade radio on the right hand side. That said last year I had all sorts of problems with it. Have got it on my iphone as well or you can link to it through Twitter.

Any chance of Ben Kennedy comming home if we trade Hendo + steak knives? During my pre posting days I seem to recall a poster who appeared to have knowledge of our interviews with him, said that he wanted to be picked by us. Unlikely I know but they already have a number of young players and could be bringing in another 3 early picks: pick 10, 11 (thomas compo) and potentially another for shaw, so he could become surplus to their needs. Would love to pick him up

I bought this up a few months back, but I play soccer with a mate of Kennedy's who went to school with him. He is very, very close with his mates back here in SA and does enjoy living in Adelaide. Also loves the crows by all accounts and wasnt too happy being drafted by a vic team, especially collingwood.

He has apparently said he wants to look at coming back to SA once his first 2 year contract is up at the pies. Not sure how much truth is in that part and take it with a pinch of salt cos this is coming from one of his friends. Youd think if he was wanting to leave already pies would want to get something good for him this year, rather than have him threaten to go in the PSD/etc and be forced to take a low end pick for him.
Crows could potentially offer our 2nd round pick for him next year. I think that could be a fair trade if he did want to return home.

So yes make of that what you will, but from what I know he would be keen on a move back home.

Brisbane is being gutted. Leppa is worse off now before Voss took over.

Agree haha. If Roos can get the Dees playing some decent footy and a fit forward line of Hogan, Clark and Dawe, I seriously think that Lions and Saints will be fighting it out for the spoon, especially if Saints lose Dal and Tags.
