Hey guys, i'm new but i'm a lover of the champs and thought i'd get involved with some of the discussion. I've been writing articles on each game in Div 1 & 2, and got my hands on all the stats from each game thus far. If you're looking for any specific stat, just let me know.

I'm interested in stats for Lloyd Perris, Isaac Heeney and Abe Davis if you've got them...

Perris had 33 touches (waiting for a more in depth stats sheet on him), Abe Davis had 23 disposals and 8 marks but I don't have any numbers on Heeney as of yet. I'll bump them through to you once I get more of a advanced stat sheet for NSW/ACT. Hope that helps

Just talked to the guys that organise the Mad Monday website.. Phantom drafts, Draft prospect analysis and full statistical overview of the entire u18 championships are going to be put up within the next 2 weeks. Cannot wait. These guys are all over it! I think they are going to talk to a few AFL recruiting managers and put up some Q and A's very soon too.

Stats are all good

Stats are fine but do you have comments on how they played? Were you at the game? comments on their strengths and weaknesses..?

Sorry but your statistics are actually incorrect!
Lloyd Perris:
17 disposals, 5 inside 50′s and 3 marks.
Isaac Heeney:
13 disposals, 2 clearances and 1 goal.

Abe Davis:
Defended really well. Finished with 11 disposals, and 2 contested marks. Fought hard.

Paddy McCartin (VC) will not be playing in tomorrows game vs Vic Metro as he has had delayed concussion from his collision with Dom Sheed

In the likely event that WB miss out on drafting Boyd, would Darcy Hourigan be on the radar for the Dogs? I realise he isn't tall compared to your 6'7 monsters coming through, so perhaps that might make his stocks drop a bit. Listed at 191cm, he may well grow another couple of cm between now and when he's fully grown. If he can make 193cm that would make him a solid 6'4 power forward in the mould of a Travis Cloke or Brendan Fevola. Neither of those guys were the tallest FF but boy both could play.

Perhaps there are other key forwards besides Boyd who might be on the Bulldogs radar before Hourigan though? I know how much the Doggies need a key forward, and from what I've heard from people at South Adelaide the kid is a gun and extremely strong for his size. I'd personally love if the Cats drafted him just because I rate the kid highly, but as far as pressing needs are concerned, a key forward is anything but a pressing need at Geelong.

Best two pure midfielders in the draft IMO are Aish and Sheed. I'd take Aish first marginally, and he should go #1 in my view.

Disappointing to see Sheed break his collarbone recently, but he'll still be hot property come the draft.

*Apologies for the stats on Perris and Heeny - those were their stats from Round 3.

Have you guys seen Sam Landsberger's top 10? It's a good indication of where he rates this year's potential top 10, but at this stage, it's not as much as a "phantom draft". I'm of the opinion personaly that Melbourne would be after a silky, clean ball user who runs both ways in a Josh Kelly, and I firmly believe James Aish goes at number one to GWS and Tom Boyd drops to the Bulldogs at pick 3 (should the Bulldogs finished 16th).

1. TOM BOYD (Vic Metro/Eastern Ranges, 199cm, 102kg)
The gorilla power forward who has clubs licking their lips. A dominant spearhead set to return from ankle damage late in the TAC Cup season.

2. MATT SCHARENBERG (South Australia, 190cm, 89kg)
The ultimate prototype of an AFL player. Great size, elite kick, can play in just about any position - much like Brendon Goddard - and reads the play exceptionally well.

3. JOSH KELLY (Vic Metro/Sandringham Dragons, 182cm, 73kg)Endurance machine with a pin-point left boot complemented by smarts on his opposite side. Narrowly overlooked in last year’s mini-draft.

4. JAMES AISH (South Australia, 183cm, 74kg)All-Australian last year and the youngest ever SANFL premiership player. Gets tagged each week and resembles Scott Pendlebury. Still getting back to his best after a long layoff with shoulder surgery.

5. JACK BILLINGS (Vic Metro/Oakleigh Chargers, 183cm, 78kg)Another All-Australian from last year, his goal sense and overhead marking make him a devastating half-forward.
6. LUKE MCDONALD (Vic Metro/Werribee VFL, 188cm, 90kg) (Kangaroos father-son)
A rebounding half-back who’s biggest weapon is his powerful left foot. Will cost the Roos their first pick.

7. DOMINIC SHEED (Western Australia, 182cm, 82kg)
The player of the carnival until breaking his collarbone last Friday. The best inside midfielder who can go outside and boot crucial goals. Eagles would love this Simon Black type.

8. LEWIS TAYLOR (Vic Country/Geelong Falcons, 173cm, 73kg)
Small, but as creative as they come. Takes opponents on and backs his speed and crafty sidestep, ala Brent Harvey.

9. BEN LENNON (Vic Metro/Northern Knights, 187cm, 79kg)
Hard-working flanker with great hands and an excellent finisher, much like Bob Murphy. Boasts plenty of tricks.

10. KADE KOLODJASHNIJ (Tasmania, 188cm, 76kg)
Soaring up the rankings as a ball magnet who can control matches between the arcs. Good decision-maker suited to the modern game.

* West Australians Jack Martin (Gold Coast) and Jesse Hogan (Melbourne) graduated to AFL clubs last year through the mini-draft
