My 1st round prediction:

1. Petracca
2. Brayshaw
3. McCartin
4. Pickett
5. Laverde
6. Goddard
7. Ahern
8. Duggan
9. Moore
10. Wright
11. De Goey
12. Weller
13. Lever
14. Durdin
15. Langford
16. Ellis
17. Garlett
18. Heeney
19. Marchbank
20. Lamb
I reckon you've got the top 10 bang on. Who knows what order GWS would take Goddard and Ahern though so that makes it tough.

noob question. Does the fact Lachie Weller is a tigers supporter from birth factor towards the tiges taking him as our preferred pick? In the long run, would that passion for the club as a whole add to their loyalty and determination to succeed at RFC?

I've wondered that myself but surely it's only a passing consideration at best for recruiters. The kids would be aware from a pretty young age that they'd have to detach themselves from any truly passionate support for a single club in the knowledge they could end up at any of them, so I doubt it holds all that much weight.

Good to see some Maynard love :thumbsu:

In his interview on afl.com kinda reminds me of Mitch Rob..... in his face a little. Seems like a good prospect otherwise

I think it provides a very slight PR edge that's about it. The player is more likely to be embraced by the fans and that is a benefit, albeit a slight one.

It must affect his peripheral vision though, I am sure he has learnt how to compensate, but if everyone expects someone as talented as Caleb Daniel to slip through to the rookie draft just because of his height then I expect similar for only having one eye. I hope he gets a chance too, hope he gets picked up in the National Draft, but given how safe recruiters play it in the ND that's just what I expect to happen.
It would be a great story if he does and like you say the midget also. I do love how footy can throw up these odd bods and we all get behind/follow them where ever they land if they get a shot. Think it's about breaking a certain prejudice and a love of if they can then we can in our own lives in breaking out.

Think it is irrelevant for 99% of footballers.

However Kane Johnson was mad Richmond and chose us when returning for that reason. I'm sure money and stuff was also of relevance.

The year before he came a trade actually fell through.
The year that he end up coming he was close to going to the Pies until we entered into discussion late and so he choose us over the pies.

fair point. I’d still be gutted if I’d trained for my whole life to get to the AFL draft, and in a single moment have it crash down at the utter depressing realization that I’d been picked up by Carlton

You'd only get picked up by them if you were complete and utter arse. :p

Let Weller slip to the Crows.
Next years War chest just got bigger.

Scoop from PRE reckons the mail from another club is Garlett to the Tigers

This draft is just a mess haha
Hes a lot like Jeff but can pinch hit in the midfield a lot more then Jeff. Drawn comparisons to Danyle Pearce. Would give us a type of player we lack.

I wouldn't be against it if we can get a couple of solid ball winners in the next two rounds.

Bloody hope not, its not that i dont like Garlett but you either pick the best player available and at 12 Garlett is not!!
or you pick on needs and i dont think we need another fwd when our fwd line consists of lids, martin, jack, Griff, knights, gordon, edwards etc etc...
We need a gun HBF or a solid Mid

We need both. Thats what Lever and Howe are for and both look like guns.
