What is wrong with McKenzie, kicked ten goals the other day, 14 marks - was it against poor opposition? Shifter seemed to think he was okay and a really good size. Are the other talls that far ahead of him. Why not grab Petracca #1 and a Mckenzie or lamb nxt pick

Why would the SAINTS take McCartin when they have just offered Lee a 2 year contract extension? If this is true it would mean we are looking at Petracca or Wright ! Lee and McCartin would be too similiar you would think unless they want to turn Lee into a defender?

Not really. Tbh Lee and McCartin seem like they couldn't be more different.

They're both goal-kicking forward who have poor second efforts and do their best work on the lead, but McCartin is an upgrade on Lee. Petracca is a the game-changing midfielder who when struggling/resting can be thrown near goals, where he's too strong to be a medium forward and too quick to be a tall forward.

Tom Lee: 23 - 194cm 91kg - 2nd KPF/tall 3rd fwd.
Comparison: Jack Gunston

Paddy McCartin: 18 - 193.5cm 95kg - slightly undersized FF/CHF.
Comparison: Taylor Walker

All very different players.

He's better up forward and has better physical traits.
See this is where draft talk gets ridiculous.
Are you seriously trying to say Petracca is better or going to be better than Josh Kennedy?
Josh is in the top 10 players in the comp. Petracca is playing under 18s. The odds of Petracca becoming a top 10 player in the AFL remain very slim.

Better athletic traits doesnt automatically mean a better footballer. JK has unbelievable footy nouce...CP is a very promising young player who displays great footy skills & physicality amongst kids his age.

What's the likelihood of Lamb being available at our second pick?
Hopefully none.

Did nothing to excite me in the Champs, and if he's a bit of a peanut to boot, then no thanks. Doesn't really fill a need for us atm anyway.

No. At no point in my post did I say Petracca was going to be better than JPK, let alone as good as JPK, heck the point I was trying to make (quite poorly, in looking at the post) is that Petracca isn't like JPK as much as he is Dustin Martin or even Patrick Dangerfield.
At this stage we'll be in mix for top 3 picks for the next 2-3 drafts at least, so here's a name to remember in 2 years time.

Add Galluci, Berry, Taranto, McGrath and McLarty to that list as some to watch as bottom-agers next year.

Good questions. One thing though was that he played that game when the best of the best were generally playing in the champs, so the Eastern team he was up against were without the likes of Petracca, but he doesn't play full back, so I'm not sure how they were affected in that position.

What those photo's above also highlight is how defenders are currently permitted to do pretty much what they want with their hand/fist during a contest.

So let me try to explain our rules to a foreigner. OK you aren't allowed to touch their back, because...... ummmm, and if the opponent lifts their legs to slip your tackle round their neck they get a free, but if they are going for a mark you can punch them in the head as long as the ball is somewhere close.
Is that it?

Majak Daw kicked six in a single AFL game, would you give our first round draft pick for him.
You can't talk about drafting or not drafting a player based on one game. Its bad enough basing it on one season.
