It's 10x better without Eddie IMO.

Stopping every 5 seconds for "one more round of applause please" sandwiched between long interviews with old people grew tiresome

I dont know much about it anymore because I gave up a long time ago. Because I bet, there is a lot of material to get through each week, so variety shows about the AFL i can avoid viewing.

Is there some rule that Game 1 of the season has to be a complete fizzer?

Somehow or the other we should have made sure that AO was available to open the 2014 Season.

Would have preferred a packed MCG with Blues V Richmond.

Forget about who uses it when etc. Cricket will never fill the stadium the way a Showdown or a final would.

They had that for about 5 years straight and was an absolute shocker much of the time. 2011 was the only one that was a contest. I think this was a good choice, I don't think anyone expected that result.

Collingwood was never going to win last night, Freo played 20 players who played in last years GF whilst the pies gasped 9 players who have played 15 games or less

This combined with players like Maxwell, Toovey and Harry O are all well past their best and the likes of Young, Clarke and Lynch (even though he didn't play last night) are just not up to scratch it's always going to be a case off too much left to too few

Challenging year for the pies who would be best served getting games into youth and maybe lowering the expectations

Good thing the pies have no one to come back ;)

So another example of you just trying to be a smart ass

Ben Reid and White were the only lock in best 22 that were missing and although Ben is quality the core issues still remains that is:

Ben surrounded by Maxwell, Young and Clarke doesn't fix the problem

Anyone know if Kennedy, Broomhead or Grundy are out of contract this year? Broomhead could be a value get if we could get him with our 2nd pick this year.
Isn't he always injured?
The talk last night was Grundy was about to sign a long term deal.

Noticed in my travels that my old school oval which once had AFL goal posts now has replaced the posts with soccer goals... When I went there only a handful of people played soccer as a sport. The only time we played soccer at lunch was when we ran out of footballs to kick or tennis balls to hit when we played cricket in summer. The cricket pitch was gone from what I could see also, as well as the cricket nets.
