IMO Sydney and Freo are the only threats to us going B2B.

Sydney aren't as good as people think - in the 2012 GF they had their best possible 22, and pulled a statistical anomaly out of their arse by scoring only 3 behinds after 1/4 time (some of their goals also came from low percentage chances). They haven't beaten Hawthorn since then, and have very little depth due to the acquisition of Buddy.

Unless they develop a key forward that can influence a game, Freo shouldn't be too much of a worry. Also being dependent on ageing players like Sandi, McPharlin and Pavlich doesn't place them in good stead. They have quite a few flash in the pan players like Walters and Ballantyne who you wouldn't want to depend on. Backline is suspect as Dawson and Duffield can be exploited by a powerful forward line.

We've lost a lot of goals by Buddy leaving but I feel this will be alleviated by the addition of McEvoy (gives our mids first use and hopefully more I50s and scoring chances) as well as a more unpredictable attack without Bud. Our players might also have more freedom as there will be much less expectation than there was in 2013. We also have Suckers and Schoey coming back to bolster the defence. The only potential weakness to us in 2014 is an injury to Roughy or Gunston - this leaves our tall forward options somewhat bare, with Grimley and Spangher as the immediate replacements.

- We'll finish top 2
- Roughy or Gunston to kick the most goals
- BnF will be Mitchell, Roughead and Stratton
- 18+ wins for the home and away
- Garlett, Ross or Hartung for the most games played
- Shiels to have a breakout season (hopefully)
- Hawks for the 2014 flag
- Don't care about the Brownlow, Coleman or Rising Star, I just want to see 22 premiership medallions hanging from brown and gold necks
