So whose going with the 3/0/7 midfield too?

I like my 5 premo midfield too much but with all these mid rookies it does have some merit.

I'm on 406 atm but I did have 505 earlier in the week. It did look very strong with Beams at M5 but I feel things are better balanced with the 406.

yep I got those 3. the problem with that is I can't have Hibberd/Simpson, instead I have Grimes (which is Ok i guess)
really not sure which of 3-0-7 and 4-0-6 i'll end up with, it all depends on the Rd1 selections

Sandilands is the only player I have in the $2-3K range, although Suckling's been in and out of the team. There are 4 in the $400,000 - $450000 range though and 5 in the $450000-500,000 range.

was experimenting with that idea myself, but started getting hot sweats and shrinking gonads, so ended up 4-0-6.

Love it. Personally going 3-0-7 only because I can't bring myself to leave out Gablett, Pendles or Beams.

Why would you? Midfield is where the most points are generated from. Midfield premos are far better than any other positions. How could you possibly start with just 2 premos and the rest rookies? Yes the midfield rookies are far better than the forwards and defenders but there is no way you can rely on at least 6 of them to hold their spot each week and score 70+. Go with it if you want to be 'gutsy' but the facts are it just doesn't happen and it just doesn't work. Look at previous winners starting teams and not one of them has less than 4 premos to start.

Because every year is unique in regards to the rookie options and where the greatest value for money is. Anything more than a 4-0-6 set up in the midfield this year and I think you're spreading yourself too thin in other areas

Yeah I agree but anything less than 3-0-7 is just getting way too ahead of yourself.

Its probably the best discussion been had so far this year, its a great topic on its own, i think there is arguments for all scenarios here, who knows only time will tell, but well worthy of its own thread.
