This is ridiculous. It's been one game, I hope you bring Swallow in and scores 60 against Fremantle.
Don't need to is the point.

Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?

That's the best news I've hard all week. That'll stop all those johnny-come-lately's from jumping on board just to take Langdon's score.Apparently he's a good chance to play this round.![]()
Not taking Laider in the backline but shelling out for McVeigh. Hopefully time is kinder to this decision.
Mcviegh and swan.
Yes, you heard me!

If averages around 100 and finishes in the top 3-4 defenders that will do me as there wont be too many defenders this year average 100 at all. Maybe Mitchell could be the only other thats capable of a 100 average.Jumping onto McVeigh is a bumpy ride, he will average around 100 and finish in the Top 3-4 DEFs by year end but it won't be made up from notching up 100's every week - it will 80 one week, 130 plus the next. Hold on tight!
I think Mitchell will too but I hope to get him in around the bye rounds. If averages around 100 and finishes in the top 3-4 defenders that will do me as there wont be too many defenders this year average 100 at all. Maybe Mitchell could be the only other thats capable of a 100 average.

Instead of Beams? That's just stupid, I expect a good rage post from youI've gone for Liam Shiels instead of Dane Beams as M5.Yes, you heard me!
Let me just say the the split round is prolonging the agony so I'm just warning everyone

for the fallout come 5pm Saturday![]()

I thought he worked in to the game reasonably well and got a lot more confident as the game progressed. If he stays in the team, he will be OK I reckon.Mcdonut maybe my only regret at this stage, if he gets dropped will have to burn a trade before round 3

There are no words... I just... I don't... Why????????It gets better, I put Shiels in to accommodate Higgins in the forward line. I'm expecting big things from both players
Higgins > Impey/Merrett would be enough for a Shiels > Beams should things go t!ts up in the latter half of round 1, which it probably will![]()

The thing is, that I would take Beams over nearly every other midfielder except for Ablett and Pendles. So if it meant trading your M3 in Watson/Rockliff/Libba/INSERT MIDFIELDER HERE to Beams then I would do that before going Beams > Shiels.

Wait. You started without Beames priced at <500k???Fair enough, Beams is more than capable of averaging 120 for the year and I am in a position to bring him in with minimal trades prior to Round 3.
On the flip side, one observation I took out of Friday night's game was that Swan and Ball spent a fair bit of time out of the midfield and the former looks badly underdone, as a consequence I think Beams may get a lot more attention in the coming weeks.
I have scheduled a rage post for Sunday either way, stay tuned![]()

I was worried if he'd pull up in time. Considering swapping Enright back to Hibberd given I had him before the injury but I'm pretty sure I'll leave as is given I don't like making last minute changes. That's the best news I've hard all week. I have Ablett, Watson, Libba, Beams with Tyson, Mitchie, Polec, Ellis (Dunstan, Crouch) as my mids.
Pretty happy with that setup to be honest although just wish I could have kept Rockcliff in there but needed to boost my forward line instead by getting Roughead in.![]()
Not sure about that. 4-0-6 is okay, but 3-0-7 is pushing the envelope a bit I think. Why didn't you just go one of Watson or Libba to Murphy? Could have "boosted" both your forward and backlines.

What's that?
