Some baffling ones as usual: games v WC and Adel at Etihad? We get over 50K to these teams 6 out of the last 10 times. Look for both of them to be under 40K next year because of this.

And to those who say we get an unfair commercial draw consider this: None of the big drawing games are Collingwood home games. The first meeting against each of Carlton (Mick's game), Essendon (ANZAC Day) and Richmond, along with Queen's Birthday all away games. The first 13 weeks of the season contain only these home games: Adelaide (Etihad), St Kilda, Geelong, North and GWS.

As manicmagpie says commercially it's a shocking draw, but as a "football draw" it's quite good really.

Great start to the year, could start 5-0 if we beat the Lions.

Best fixture we have had for a decade.... Can't believe we are playing the swans at the scg !!! Takes away our advantage but gonna be a great sight for the game

Yay Sunday twilight all but gone for us in melb next year. Lots of Friday night games early. This is the most favourable draw we have had in many years!!

Yeah got to be happy with this, a few too many Sat games at the back end of the year (those who play footy on a Saturday will know my frustration!), but from a timeslot point of view we've got a good spread.

Also we've got the wood on most of the teams we play twice, and Hawthorn once!!

Really happy with the outcome, best draw I can remember we have had in years, tough part in mid season but have to say very favourable.

What an awesome draw but how is that month of death lol, we play Freo, Hawthorn and Port three weeks in a row.

I am happy to lose those three games as long as we win the ones that we should. There is no doubt this draw is great for us and if we can we have some consistency where we beat the sides we are expected to beat we should play finals.

Melbourne twice, Richmond twice, GWS, Carlton twice and Essendon twice should all be wins and that would put us on 9 wins. Brisbane, WB and St Kilda should put us on 12 wins and we beat North and Adelaide here we we will play finals.

Like every year the key is injuries that will dictate where we finish. Now I know how it feels to get a draw like NM does every year.

Are you including the last game as a Sunday game as that may change dependant on out ladder position at the end of the year.

I can see us being 11-0. Maybe 10-1. Don't fear any of the games in the first 11. Geelong will finally start to fold (although, I've been saying this for half a decade now) and the others are meh. If bucks babies aren't ruthless killers next season there is something seriously wrong at our club. Next season, ino, we go back to contenders, not 2016, but next year. Easy draw, God willing ,no injuries an extra year of fitness, another season of gelling and virtual new recruits.

I can't help but be exited. We will make top 4 next year.

The only real downside for me is the home games we get for the first half of the year. Based on blockbuster appeal most of the big games appear to be us away. Still likes like a great fixture though, there isn't too much we can complain about

you're always going to get a tough section of the draw, but we have a tough 3 weeks right in the middle of the year, if our list is reasonably healthy it's probably the best time to play those 3 teams. Should be hitting our straps, if we pinch a win from those 3 we will be in very good shape.

I expect us to be in the top 4 up until that period.
