New Trade discussion thread

We seem to be in the market for a Ruckman such as Leuenberger, Zac Smith or Sinclair with Talia at the Bulldogs another target as a KP Defender.

Keep this thread to realistic targets or expect your post/s to be moved to the "baseless trade thread"

Jetta has requested a Trade - likely will end up at West Coast. News is light on other than that.

So either their First Round Pick at 17/18 or their Selwood compo pick if its Band 2 at around Pick 20

As for getting a player in return, due to the trade ban I would believe we have had our targets in place for quite some time at other clubs and also Eagles players might not be interested in moving to us. So its not as if we can demand a player from them.

I would say that's a fair trade

Interesting his pay deal at $400k. If true we seriously overvalue some of the players in the league in our guesses in this thread.

The west aus paper saying jets had agreed to a 3 year deal worth 400k a season and wc have said they will give there first round up for him
Pretty much deal done there saying

We can reach for the stars all we like, but I can't really argue with the fairness of that deal.

Not sure how well it helps us on the field in 2016 though. Remains to be seen.

Its more than fair we dont have a lot of bargaining power if that deal goes through Eagles have been a lot kinder to us than GWS were.

He left Brisbane due to homesickness and wants to go to Geelong because it's near where he came from, so I doubt very much that he'd want to leave Victoria in any case.

True , we won't get him but if I had to pick someone this year it would be him or bennel but either won't happen

I'd certainly ask after him so we can plug him into defence straight away. Who knows? If a club shows enough passion in wanting a player and telling him we need him, that could sway him and convince him to move.

All of that said, almost certainly not happening.

Sinclair or Lycett. I would very very happily take either.

Sinclair has shown to be a quality number two ruckman. No doubt he will only improve when he has the number one role.

Certainly possible if he thinks he'll get relegated to the WAFL next season, also out of he and Lycett if we had to lose one it would be Sinclair.

Contracted though and in career best form so I don't think it'll be an easy deal.

Unless Sinclair and our first for Jetta and your first. That's not that much different pick wise...

In a different location I imagine though as the old location is a giant LG warehouse these days.

Might come down to how badly Sinclair is destroyed/how well he plays on Sat. I assume he'll be selected again.

Comes down to who is a better mark down forward, Sinclair has good hands but Lycett has kicked a couple of bags in the WAFL I think, Lycett is also the better ruckman. Sinclair seems to lose a fair bit but is fit and can run, and as mentioned score a few goals.

From that description Lycett seems like a better fit for us as a tap ruckman is needed more than a ruckman who can go forward and be a danger up forward. Obviously the second thing is a nice thing to have but the Swans are really looking for a number 1 ruckman, someone who can spend 70% of the game in the ruck.

Yeah which is why we don't want to lose Lycett and gave him a long term deal.

Don't even know Sinclairs contract length, presume end of next season.
