The uncomfortable question is that with Howe, Treloar and Aish turning out to be good trades, why are we lower on the ladder than we were last season?

Coach/Injuries/Senior Players

Because nothing is certain when overall the team is medium.
It (improvement) comes in time.
Build the list, play young ones, move on list cloggers or those not quite there, keep playing and refilling with new talent.
Then.....
Hope less injury
Hope new ones adapt
Hope new ones progress
Hope patience is rewarded

Ultimately it's a one slog, get the right list, escape too many injuries, gave a smidge of luck, who knows victory can happen.

Build a list for an era of success, hope like hell enough pieces are there for this kind of success.

ps hope like hell if get to a GF things go your way and there is less of Compton, Hopkins, carman punching Tuck, boundary umpires seeing harmes pay forAdmission again as he reentered the MCG.

That's easy.

Terrible senior coach
Terrible assistant coaches
Most injuries in the league
Poor form from key players like Cloke and Pendlebury
Terrible selections most weeks aka terrible match committee

Take your pick.

Poor form by Pendlebury?
You watching which season?
He'll win the Copeland.
He may not have been what he's been, carrying an injury or so, but he's still been very very good.

By Pendlebury standards, he's had a bad year. Grantred, that's still better than MOST players good seasons, but even I (one of the biggest Pendlebury lovers out there) can clearly see that whether it's by injury or just good ol' fashioned poor form, he's had a bad year.

Wills has been excellent. Should have got a senior game at about round 5 or 6. But the selection committee (led by the senior coach) have been questionable throughout the year.

Yep, Wills was sitting in the two while De Goey was going through his second year blues. Again, poor by the coach and selection committee.

Lol.
Everything turns into a bashing Buckley exercise.
;)

Also was Great that Aish,Treloar and Howe all got bigger Offer's Elsewhere but Still came to Collingwood:thumbsu::D:thumbsu:

Aish Treloar and Howe are all ticks so far.

Aish probably the biggest surprise with how good he looked late in the season.

Far far too early to say anything about any of the draftees. Crocker and Smith should be good players but the rest not sure.

Very positive. Good job. :)

Love the way Aish is traveling, is a great get for the club.

Treloar is a gun and Howe in defence has been fantastic, just hope he's happy to remain back there and not get too put out.
