Not meant as a knee jerk, bitch and moan, thread; and keeping in mind the season is not half-way yet*, but what do you think should be our highest recruitment priorities for next year's list?

Should clearance and class mids be top and second top priorities?

What would be your top three? And do you have any specific oppo players in mind that seem realistic options?

* We do have some un or under-explored young talent in West, Howes, Hayes, Harrison, Cochrane and Swadling to name some that could get games soon or soonish; and others that could be players eventually, like Saxena, McCarthy, and even Prindable.

1 midfield
2 midfield
3 midfield

I'm confident West becomes a v good key forward, and I'm hopeful that McCarthy and Howes come thru as KPP too. But even if they come thru, we need one more to complete the goal-to-goal line.

But honestly, it's all about the midfield in the next one to two drafts, IMO. We are so reliant on Nick, it's not funny. Given Pendles' age, that reliance is set to increase. We need mids who can compete at clearances but still be effective in transition.

An intercept defender would be handy too, with Howe's exit imminent and Moore over 30. But that's a lower priority.

Yep, quietly hopeful on West & Cochrane for each end. (Howes, eventually too).
Glad we're out of the King stakes, TBH. Rather spend up on a class mid & perhaps a less high-profile, more versatile forward.
A top-ten mid this year (how's the top ten shaping up, PS?) & a young mid from another club would be a start.

Lots of teams win the premiership with mediocre competitive KPF.

No one gets close without multiple elite midfielders

We have Nick Daicos and then a massive drop off, De Goey is on his last legs.
I'm telling you, let's get neale and Toby green and there's your midfield ;)

All in on free agency
Zac Bailey and Lachie Neale completely upgrade the midfield
Both genuine A graders
