Mega Thread 2015 Training Reports

Yeah both Pav and Walters looked fine and ready to go. Walters in with the main group for the entire session. Pav down the far end for 3/4 of the session with 211, Barra and Hilly doing some karaokes and light run throughs. Interesting to see Hill in the with the senior citizens, not sure what that was about but looked ok, he didn't really get out of 1st gear though, maybe a tight quad? If that was the case with his history perhaps they just backed him off a little today. Could also have been to even up the numbers and pair up with Pav for a few short kicking drills. Luke also did a few solo run throughs at one point but looks in great nick still so pretty sure there was nothing in it.

Didn't see Dawson out there, did anybody else down there today? We were in the old grandstand so was a little far away to make out everybody.

Fair bit of goal kicking practice, perhaps half the session. Bit of game simulation broken into the two groups. Crozier, Sheridan, Hannath and Gu all included in the main group. Fyfe the last man off the track working on some one on one marking with one of the coaches, leaping into one of those rucking pads, if that paints the picture.

I'll be interested to see what the media has to say about it just as a side note, they lasted all of 15 mins before packing up their gear and heading home, look forward to reading their fictional accounts. Clearly just came down to see if Son Son and Pav turned up.

The laziness of modern media is shocking. I assume they would use some of these forums to gather the rest of their info. Fyfe working on his one on one marking says a lot about his desire to keep improving!
 
A media source informed me that they were kicked out after their few moments with Ross. Dawson was on the track and moving well. Don't think he was in the sims. Ross had chats with Crozier and Duffy near the end. Explaining why they'll be at Peel on Saturday?

They could be in. Still have a feeling. Think they would both do ok too

Explaining why they will be held over as emergencies and not play this weekend unless one of Pav and Walters don't play.
 
Not really a helluva lot to report today. Most were out on the track including Alex Pearce. Pav, Sandi, Hill and Mundy took it easy for the first half the session before joining in the match sim. Pav and Son Son both looked great and I would be very surprised if they don't play. A couple of positional things in the match sim was Mundy and Walters starting off half back at the same time with Walters coming off the edge of the square with Mundy hanging back. Whether that happens in a proper match or not is another thing. There was quite a lot of goal kicking today and it generally seemed very good. Even Sandi, Clarke and Hannath were slotting them from different angles. Ross must have gotten out of bed on the wrong side today as he seemed quite angry. I heard him swear more today than I have in my time going and watching combined. Hilly's kicking was superb today and he got a couple of "beautiful kick" from Ross.

On a more lighthearted note, Sandi got on to a nice torp today that went from the back of the center square and landed almost smack bang on the 50. Mundy and Estaugh were with him and both looked shocked before laughing.

Dawson was out there and the media are only allowed to film for a certain amount of time so once that is up they generally go.

Ballantyne looked great at training this morning. He really works his ass off. I'm expecting him to click and explode like a shotgun in the coming weeks. 4 goals and 8 tackles this week.
