Well he did his job at EssenDONE- he saw JTurd out.

You are welcome.

You're welcome.

Looking forward to hearing your club announce their new Senior Pharmacist.

Now kindly take your amateur hour trash talk to the banter thread.
I meant that seriously.. wasnt trash talk.. great at what he did, but pissed off everyone around him..

Yeah gotta be jealous of your new acquisitions .
Worsfold and McKenna would form a formidable partnership with the "legendary" Dr Reid ...

Here's what I got from looking at the other teams boards on Bigfooty:
Tim Clarke: Richmond fans are celebrating that he's gone.
Neil Craig: Essendon fans are celebrating that he's gone.
Dale Amos: Was sacked by Geelong.
Shane Watson: contract was possibly not renewed. They're not exactly upset.

that's the spirit, let's call it a bust already :drunk:

Bolton - good appointment
Barker - thought it might be better for him to go elsewhere but wanted to stay so kudos to him,
Craig - not sure about this one, will watch closely
Clarke - don't know much about the guy as a coach, hope he does well
Watson - don't know much about the guy as a coach, hope he does well
Amos - don't know much about the guy as a coach, hope he does well
Capuano - was fully expecting him to be shown the door actually

your assessments are very insightful!

Of course those boards are going to have this reaction....
Shane Watson in particular, is a fantastic appointment.

That pretty well sums up BigFooty for you. If they'd stayed they would all be amazing coaches destined for greatness.

well they would say that

are you happy with the Bolton appointment? I am. And if that's the panel he wants then I have faith it is a good one, until proven otherwise.
Very happy with Bolton. As for the coaching panel, I'm sure it was the best we could get. We're not exactly a destination club after all.

Pretty much. Although the Tim Clarke whinging was going on for most of the season.
So was the Barker whinging. Just proved the people doing it had no idea what an assistant coach does or how good they are at their job.

Very familiar with Amos. Was always highly rated down here in the Geelong leagues. His work at South Barwon was outstanding. Thus Geelong picked him up from the local GFL and brought him up to the big leagues.

Is very good at working with younger players.

Good signing.

good to hear some local knowledge that is very positive . I have no problems with ex coaches of VFL sides, they are often very competent and underrated. VV for AFL players

Its fair to say that we are all guilty of making snap assessments based on the quick snapshots that we are allowed by our glorious media. With sensationalism rife and in-depth reporting being discarded by the hacks that we are forced to listen to, is it any wonder that we sometimes can get a very wrong impression about what is really going on. Even if the reporter does a nice job, their hard work can end up being edited for sensationalism sake. There is no grey in media, just black or white
