Trade out a few players and up the order a bit (Gold Coast have a few second rounders they might be happy to get rid of) and this might end up as a possibility.

Do you think our second plus a player would be a good starting point to upgrade ourselves up the order? It gives GC a ready made player & they'll likely only need a few picks if a few players do go at the end of the season. Do they have any late firsts this year?

I'd love to get a duo of first round selections, that would carry a lot of hype into the 2017 season as well.

I'd love to get a duo of first round selections, that would carry a lot of hype into the 2017 season as well.

Their lowest first round pick would be pick 10, if Melbourne finish 9th. If we don't win a final and finish 7th (so draft wise the best case scenario), that's a difference of 766 points or around pick 25. I suppose they could rate Hrovat or Jong that highly but I'd be surprised.

I think what is more likely (assuming we're happy to lose some players for more high picks) is we get one of their four early to mid second round picks for Jong/Hrovat + 4th round picks. Maybe both of them and all our late picks for two second rounders if lucky? I'd be happy going into the draft with 13, 22, 27 and 31, for example.

From what I've seen, more the first. But you'd be better to additionally hear from someone that regularly watches the WAFL because I'm not familiar with where he's been playing lately.

A defender that pinch hits up forward. He doesn't look too uncomfortable up forward though.

Venables is an explosive Midfielder/Forward and Bolton is an X factor small forward.

Isn't Bolton soft with iffy disposal? I feel like our first is too early for him. I'm voting for the Venables/Taranto ticket.

Edit: Also still well into Scrimshaw but I feel like he'll be gone. Still, he's not in the top group of impossibles so you never know.

Also Tyson Stengle but I feel he'll go in the second or third round.
