So does this.

do you say that only because he hasn't kicked a bag of 4-5 goals.. YET!?
it's only round 5 jeezus. Lecras is top grade class and work rate in everything he does. Do you actually watch him even when he doesn't have the ball. His leading work? It would be madness to "drop him to teach him a lesson" Pffff wot the fork.

These are the ratings I have for West Coast players and the second number shows whether they performed better (+) or worse (-) in the Sydney and/pr Hawthorn games. Based on AFL Player Ratings and moderated based on the strength of the opponent. Only included players who have played 3 or more games. Bigger is better.

Josh J. Kennedy 11.4 -2.9

Darling staging for free's or over running the contest is really starting to shit me. When the going gets tough, Darling makes this over the top, piss weak attempts at marking then throws himself at an attempt to get a free. He really is a confidence player, and his form needs week on week management

Our backline is way off, CHB is good, but Emac needs time in the WAFL. Defensively something is very wrong.

Our forward line is getting manhandled and hard pressured, that's why we need those small forwards like Crips/Lecca etc to crumb after the spoil but they are just no where to be found this season.

I never thought I'd say this but Hill has probably been the most consistant performer in our forward line this year
Agree on the staging, he is forever throwing the head back.

But he has been good this year.

It was really noticeable in Gaff today. So many times he was almost walking and watching the play happen in front of him. Not sure if its because he runs so hard he has no energy left or what.
Wasn't there talk about Gaff being a doubtful starter due to calf issues. Perhaps he was not really fit which affected his game?

Cripp's and Sheppard have been playing very sore for a number of weeks, so i will give them a break.
They have hardly trained during the week for a while.

Mark LeCras needs to be played deep forward again or dropped no more mid time.
All his games this year he has probably been our worst for turning the ball over.
No more midfield time for him play him in the full forward line or not at all.
There's got to be more to Le Cras bad form at the moment as your skills surely don't normally drop off that quickly. Don't know what's his issue is though. Maybe it's a mental hangover from the GF loss as he knows he's not getting any younger.

Calm your ****. Blood pressure will love you for it.

I have ever, not once, mentioned dropping him. Feel free to find a direct quote from me that mentions this?

I have agreed with a poster that he seems to be on the decline and the end may be near.

I hope he turns it around. I really do.

And please don't insult me with the "do you actually watch" rhetoric.

Cheers

Seeming to be on the decline to me is completely different to a rough few weeks where things don't go your way. He has done good things as well, I don't like his role at all at the moment. He'll get some confidence and will be back to his best, could even be carrying something.

There's not 1 player consistently dominating in the WAFL in an attempt to dethrone Lecras.

Personally his skills are in forward line. And that's where he belongs. He is playing midfield because we are severely short in depth there. He plays more in midfield this year because we get overrun.

His field kicking and inside work is ok but nothing to rave home about. Not consistent enough either.

Adam Simpsons constant commentary is that we always put in an extra player during midfield contests to win it. Problem is that then we get outnumbered elsewhere. Therefore midfield needs to stand up and issue isn't top end talent. It's the bottom 5 guys in our team who get beaten by opposition bottom 5 guys.

Too many passengers relying on too few. And problem is we don't have wafl players challenging. Maybe by year end but not atm.

Problem with moving Le Cras to the forward line full time is that we are robbed of a midfielder. That's because Cripps and Hill are too inflexible.

fair call, wasn't intended to be specifically directed at you re: a call for his dropping. I shouldn't have quoted your post. Apologies.
However, yes I want Lecras to kick more goals. Essentially that is all he hasn't done yet this year. But I don't think that's how you (or anyone) could conclude he is in a decline though.

Just watching his general play has me a little concerned is all and with our history of champs falling of the cliff so quickly (Kemp. Pyke etc etc) I am worried he is heading in that general direction. His field kicking was very, very ordinary on the weekend.

Lecras retiring this year? Lel...what even.
Should be playing forward, wasting him through the middle, didn't have the hardness to compete with bigger sydney bodies in the wet is all..

LeCras and Kennedy both push upfield when the ball isn't coming into the forward 50 enough. The problem is usually delivery rather than their form in the forward line. If the ball was coming in nicely, he probably would have remained forward.

Lecca - been our biggest liability all season.
MacKenzie - looks 2010-esque, needs a spell in the WAFL.
Sheppard - out of form, would see how he goes without MacKenzie in the team.
Cripps - goes MIA when up against half decent opposition.
And I hate to say this, but Captain Hurn has been terrible beyond recognition.

Borderline:
Butler
Masten
Schofield (bit harsh perhaps)
McInness a non factor today, but hard to say on one game.
Redden - prized recruit yet to justify the prized part.

You can't put Hurn in this list, surely, he has never really been as up and at it as other high profile players but he is formidable as a back, he and McGovern are good quality "sticker fingers" and reliable players for defense EVERY game.

Hope he turns it around. Has been pretty ordinary 2016. Nowhere near his best.
Watching him against Sydney he did very little wrong. He made good position on a number of occasions only to have the ball deflect or thrown on the boot by a panicking player and he was left high and dry. There are a number of players before him who need to adjust the way they play eg.
Gaff ...calls for the ball only to bomb it when he gets it.
Priddis...gone back to a plodder who mostly turns it over.
Jetta....does a small run and kick then just stops and spectate so.
Shepherd...keeps trying to do what he did last year but kicking crapp.
Cripps...good game this week but has been dreadful before that.
