Since that cold day in hell... We have since added: Yarran and Townsend, while only losing Newman from what is supposedly our best 22.
Round 1, 2016 is proving difficult already to predict with the improvement that is expected from our younger brigade, while also adding two individuals who could both potentially be playing against the scum.

Here is how we lined up in the elimination final.

With obviously Newman out, Yarran is a clear inclusion. How about C. Ellis who we saw who is just pure class who definitely should be improving again, Menadue as well. Possibly a smokey like Jayden Short or Georgey Castagna. Also Ben Lennon with his contract extension

Definitely an increase in class around the ball which could only make our dysfunctional forward line far more dangerous with the delivery coming from these guys.
I know there is no right or wrong answer, but it is interesting to see, we didn't sell the farm for our future like Collingwood and Geelong, however the depth coming through is the strongest i have seen in a very long time. Not to mention the distinct possibility of a smokey to come out of nowhere like McIntosh last year.

We need the likes of Corey Ellis, Reece Conca, Nick Vlastuin, Brandon Ellis, Ty Vickery, Ben Lennon and Connor Menadue to step up again.

We need Treat Cotchin, Dustin Martin, Brett Deledio, Alex Rance and Jack Riewoldt to stay injury free and grow again into the leaders they can become.

If Jacob Townsend can stay injury free and gets settled, if Chris Yarran can get his head right and settle and show consistency under Chocco's watch that will be great.

Our best 30 now look good. There's some depth. Last year's draftees is gonna be interesting. Who knows maybe we land a guy at 12 that comes in straight away and dominates.

Dan Richardson stated we were looking at some small forwards with pick 12. Very interesting as the only one I believe worth that is Mileara? Correct me if I'm wrong? Maybe Ah Chee? So what about Short and Butler? They have both been groomed for the role. Is Yarran off half back better than forward?

Would a forward line of Riewoldt, Vickery, Deledio, Yarran, Edwards and Lennon be more enticing for us to succeed?

A few questions but no doubt the time for a flag starts now. We have just opened our window and have three years before it might shut.
