Also keen on the Doggies. We looked slow on the weekend; can't see us getting over them at Etihad. Could even get a little ugly.

I'd be wary taking the shorts with GWS. I'm reviewing that game now and their body language was horrendous. I'm not sure if there's an issue with the playing group or they were just expecting to turn up and win, but it was a bad look. Main one was Devon kicked a goal in the third to get within two goals and you could be forgiven for thinking they were at a funeral.

It happened again later in the quarter (Smith again) when they were 30pts down but it was right near 3/4 time and could have been important. I'm sure they will blow GC away at home as they are good front runners but I'd be leaving them out of everything for a few weeks until I see more positive signs.

They looked like a team of individuals rather than a Premiership threat. Adelaide were very very good.

Considering backing Freo and Sydney with it too. While I probably won't be tipping either side, I feel like they might be the most worth underdogs to back using the promo. Not sure about the other games yet.

Why do you like Collingwood? I think Richmond offer more value with the TAB Touch promo, they will score 60 and are a fair chance to win. I'm surprised Collingwood are that price actually.

I think Collingwood looked good but just didn't capitalise enough, Tigers still looked a bit meh when under any sort of pressure. It could go either way though but $1.75 is high enough to back Pies imo with the promo.

Typically very good teams like Sydney bounce back from losses very well, however, I don't think they currently have anyway near the capacity to do so with the cattle on hand. Missing from last years GF team for this weeks game are Mitchell, Heeney, Rampe, McVeigh and 4 others. They will certainly need Allir Allir to get up to shore up their defense.

Yeah agree that dogs will likely win (will be tipping them), but I don't think Sydney can be completely ruled out. For the purpose of the tabtouch promo I reckon Sydney @2.50 is better to go with over the Dogs @1.50.

Had a mate who backed a few of the underdogs this round with the promo who he didn't expect to win but thought were a slight chance (Bombers, Dee's, Crows, Pies), he finished up with a nice little profit off it with 3 getting up and cash back on the pies. Where as I went with mostly the faves and got a few little wins which didn't add up to as much profit.

Round 1 was fairly high scoring, normally is in round 1 but especially so this year with round 2 trending down a bit. bookies have adjusted slightly on the totals but not a huge amount. Maybe potential for an overs bet on some things that may move during the week. Like the Adelaide hawthorn game

I'm jumping on under 189.5 @1.91 with Bet365, they also have cash out available for totals which is handy incase the forecast clears up during the week.

I'd take the weather forecast with a grain of salt. 70% chance often turns out to be fine and sunny all day up here. On the other hand it could pour for half of the match, you just never know. In BoM speak 90% days are about the only ones where you can be certain there'll be some rain.
