So here it is, the thread where we discuss who we'll get with pick 3 after Hawthorn take a Freo-like slide!

Good article here by DonPatchSword, I mean Cal Twomey, to kick things off.

Really does sound like this draft might live up to the hype:

Alright, cue the hate on this one...

But $&@# it, let's go a Hlark and Higgins combo.
They're the closet thing we'll get to a second coming of Milney and Bakes in this draft (character wise (sort of) and that's what I miss most when I go to see the saints each week.

Sure there's probably "better" available but hit me up Trout, I want them.

#bringbackbakesandmilney
I don't reckon there is better available in regards to Hlark

Wasn't Mundy a KPF in underagers before transitioning to midfield in AFL?

I'd rather we assess the qualities and potential of the kids available and draft according to where we see them fitting in at AFL.

Give me high ratings on disposal, decision making, attitude, work ethic etc.

Not concerned if some of their best footy has been in the back half at U18 level.

Pies will take Fog at 6.

That makes sense - a ready to go fwd who can slot in to your side. What if North takes him at 4? Would you take Cerra if he slides (assuming Freo take Brayshaw at 5)? Or would you go Naughton/Murphy/Richards instead?

Coffield and Clark are perfect for us.

Good height, brilliant kicks. Have some pace and ability to find space when there is none.

These kids will Be midfielders not flankers.
I can't understand how people would be disappointed with this.

Personally would much prefer these 2 to Bonar or Fogarty but either way would be ecstatic.

I have to say some people are getting ahead of themselves. Just because some kid plays well in underage stuff doesn’t mean he is going to win a Brownlow , anyway in that case those taken before him are more likely to win aren’t they lol. I know it’s exciting but it doesn’t matter who we pick , if the players we get don’t perform straight away we will cop melts left right and centre saying we should have picked player b instead . The whole thing is a gamble on who might become a good afl player . No guarantee that any of them will become superstars .

Wow you really put the Brains in Brains Trust.

Can someone explain how the matching a bid thing works . Eg Richmond want Naish under f/s rule . If for example the Saints pick 7 nominate Naish Richmond would counter him . Would that mean they have to use their lowest pick ? Why wouldn’t ther clubs automatically nominate him for that reason otherwise Richmond might take him with their second pick .
I know that’s not very clear but this rule confuses me . Can anyone explain how it works in regards to which pick Richmond will use to get him .

Stephenson and Bonar please
Medical evidence has proven a link between Viagra , sex and heart problems so I don't want Stephenson anyway near Bonar [emoji33]

To be honest I think I would be happy with just about all the players that have been mentioned.
