Really can't work out why we're taking Lobbe and then drafting De Konning.
Just makes little sense to keep stacking up on all these talls.
Short term and long term

I too am very flatI've been hanging for this night since grandfinal! Feel bloody flat! Was hoping for Dow but then LDU was there got excited. Pick 31 came and was over the moon constable was there and then wack picked up a bloke we could have picked in the 90s would have liked midfield toughness like a worpel oh well GO BLUES

But rucks can be boughtIf you look closely at who Sos has selected in this draft you'll see the reasons why.
Paddy Dow-Wins ball,runs,kicks goals.
Obrien-Beautiful left foot outside mid with speed.
Schumacher-Racking left foot kick who hits targets.
Garlett-Inspired choice gifted player with pace who knows where the goals are.Low risk, high reward.
De koning-Obvious krez replacement can go forward and kick a goal will need plenty of time.
The first 4 can all play next year.
Looking at his highlights he is a jet........must be something to it if all those other clubs passed on him.And for all those upset we didn't get Dfog he is the biggest flight risk of all.Watch his interview.Would leave after the two years guaranteed.
He realised normal jobs are bloody hard and footballers good ones get paid shit loadsGartlett is supremely talented.
What's concerning is that he left the Suns in part because of homesickness. You'd hope the fact that he put his hand up for the draft means that he's ready to give it another serious crack.
Have to assume the club has also done its due diligence.

More disappointing than a Hughes/Rogers draft pick

Not sure where this should go so here will do.
You guys go on about the greatness of SOS the recruiter, but this pick will be telling. Dow or LDU? You couldn't blame him for going LDU over Dow. And I know that's saying something because we wanted Dow!
He kinda went against the grain of convention.
As I said, a telling pick.
Not telling at all, nor did he go against the grain of convention.
We wanted Dow all along, LDU being available changed nothing.
Public consensus had LDU above Dow. Either could be the better player in the future. It's a complete 50/50. I wanted Dow bad.
Alls I'm saying is that it's a feather in his cap if Dow turns out the better player.
Public consensus is crap, it's built up by media so the fans have something to talk about. Recruiters from professional clubs are the people that has spent months looking at a player and digging into most things about them. It's about what's best for each club.Public consensus had LDU above Dow. Either could be the better player in the future. It's a complete 50/50. I wanted Dow bad.
