Unless some fancied names drop down the pecking order it'll probably be one of O'Brien, Bonar , Hunter or Constable for us. I'm not sure we would go Coffield as we have that type of player in spades already. Higgins maybe a bit short but we do need small forwards so SOS might take Higgins at 10.

O'Brien is a big chance IMO as Bolton would want a good kicker in the midfield.

You’ve always been a bit different Paf....one of the very few over many years willing to trade good players for good draft picks and have multiple early.

I’ll bet you love the way SOS is going about things?

Why Fogarty compared to the rest?

If he is there and if we've gone a true mid at 3, so a LDU or Dow, then I can see us taking The Fog at 10 because we need a bull HFF badly.

To my eye that's what we need, a true mid who can win the ball but also run so that's LDU or Dow, or a bull HFF so a Rayner or Fog.

Unlikely we will get both though. Fog likely won't get to 10 and if we go Rayner at 3 there wont be a blue chip mid left at 10 unless Brayshaw is there but seems his stocks have risen a lot of late despite not having a stand out trait or express pace. I've warmed to him though given his leadership traits.

Thought he'd be going somewhere between the 4-10 range, but it's almost impossible to predict and all it takes is one surprise for things to really change.

Next Friday night is going to be very interesting. Talk now is that he's in with a chance of going to the Lions at 1.

Amazing isn't it. Could go 1 or 11. Never seen a draft like this.

Hunter Clark .. Watched his highlights and what strikes me most was how he was so clean in gathering ball and so crisp and inventive with his disposals , he seemed to deliver the ball perfectly to team mates , nothing high , low or behind the player..Am much impressed , would love at pick 10 ...I'd seriously think about pick 3 with him .....tough decisions glad i'm not making.

Curnow is not a midfielder.

At best he is a mid-forward.

Long term CHF

Champion modern day CHF prospect. Only a crazy man would toy with that? Sure he could have a dash up around the ball here n there, but yep Charlie = CHF.

Interesting that Cripps said they'd be too slow in the midfield with he, Charlie and Bam Bam.

Said it jokingly but said it quick enough that he seems to believe it. Like TW said, he's showing he can be an elite CHF and they're very difficult to find.

Not ruling it out but wouldn't be having him train with only one set of players this preseason like we may have done with Weiters last preseason. Still think he could be a Fyfe type player though...two years in still has plenty to work on before we can set him new challenges.

O'Brien is seriously underrated

http://m.afl.com.au/news/2017-11-14/going-places-whats-pissed-off-this-top-prospect

O'Brien was interviewed by 12 clubs during the week – a couple even got him in for a second chat – but he's no clearer on where he will end up. He feels like West Coast has an interest; the Eagles asked for his parents to attend an interview with them in Melbourne over the weekend, while Carlton, Fremantle and North Melbourne have also spoken to him numerous times across the season. He seems most likely to be picked late in the first round or the second round.

He likes the idea of the Blues. He spent his NAB AFL Academy placement with the club on its training camp on the Gold Coast at the end of last year and already knows people there. But he is equally happy to move interstate – a point he has made clear to his managers, Robbie D'Orazio and Paul Connors, if they are asked by clubs how O'Brien would feel about that switch.

"I really like Carlton after my two weeks there and I've got a few really good friends there through the Vic Country program. I wouldn't mind going over to Perth. I really don't mind," he says.

What’s the feel for this pick? I was hoping for Fogarty but that is looking unlikely now. We seem to get mentioned with Clark as well but he may well be gone too.

On the draft rumors thread a St Kilda supporter said he had info that Carlton spoke to Obrien yesterday and were interested at 10. This come from the Obrien camp.

I've been thinking this. He's arguably the best kick in the draft pool and you'd think coming from Haw Bolts would want good kicks. We could do with some more polish

I agree, think we are starting to add the grunt we need through the middle with Cripps & Kennedy, then guys like SPS & Cuningham as first receivers, who can also win their own ball. Whether we add Cerra, Dow or Brayshaw, LOB will provide that polish that every side yearns.

Actually see him as good if not better than Gaff, disposal and athleticism wise

Certain to be gone by 10: Brayshaw, LDU, Rayner, Dow

Next most likely batch to be gone by 10 but one could slide: Fogarty, Cerra, Stephenson, Coffield

Likely players around 10: Bonar, Clark

I'm happy with any two of these midfielders, hoping a KPP sneaks in here and there to make the spread of choice even better (ie. more than whoever is left from that list)

I reckon guys standing 190-194 need to run because these days and more in the future it looks like true KPPs will be 197+. Evolution.

Other Top 10 possibilities at this stage.

Murphy been linked to Collingwood and Western Bulldogs.

Naughton to Fremantle and Collingwood.

It kinda sounds like Stephenson will slide out of the top 10
