Just curious what BF's thoughts are about Lynch, M-M and R. Smith. Are we likely to upgrade any of them to the main list this year? I'm not even going to bother asking about Tweedie.
We have to either upgrade, re-rookie draft or delist Roarke. I reckon we'll upgrade him.

Gold Coast need Darcy Fogarty if they dont get LDU or Dow, their midfield is so tiny that it is ridiculous. Clayton has gone bonkers with all the skinny midfielders they have taken, I still expect Naughton goes in the top 10 to Fremantle. It is what St Kilda do with their two back to back picks that worries me..

Bonar looked good from what limited amount that I saw, seemed a little lost on the weekend though. Athletically he looked an exciting prospect though.

They may take stringer

Saints will draft foot speed OR trade both picks if they can. Either trade up or for a player.

Lynch should be delisted but the club may persist with him like they did with Hamilton. His contested and defensive game is a problem and he's shown very little improvement (if any) in both these areas.
M-M had a decent first half of the season, dropped off in 2nd half. I'd say he will get another year since he's quite raw and needs time. May depend on his training standards and commitment.
Smith probably delisted and re rookied like Prudden. It would be a strange decision to upgrade him coming off two knee reconstructions.

Hi Guys,

I was speaking with a friend of mine, who is the brother of a Melbourne based recruited for the Gold Coast Suns and I can confirm the Suns are going to throw the kitchen sink at the club to get Stringer which could be pick 2 and a big contract.

Obviously Tom Lynch won't be at the Suns in 2019 so they need to get someone ASAP and Jake could be their man, if he wants to go there is another decision but if they are going to offer 750k a year and give us pick 2 then it's likely.

Unlikely

Sounds like we could look at a few mature aged medium/small forwards if Stringer leaves. After researching maybe these could appeal

Bayley Fritsch - great contested mark with a penetrating left foot. Kicked 42 goals in 19 games. Only 20 years old & 186cm. 74kg, maybe size is an issue???
Alex Boyse - Elite speed, good mark, works hard up the ground. Kicked 31 goals in 16 games. Low possession numbers????
Liam Ryan - Speedy, incredible leap, great decision maker under pressure, X-factor. Kicked 71 goals in 21 games. Endurance???? Defensive work rate???
Cody Ninyette - Quick, good user, good tackle numbers, can play in the midfield. Kicked 7 goals against West Coast's reserves in the last round of the season. Only 19 years old. Ahhh he's only 58kg , surely that can't be right???

Maybe even some Mid/fwds with X-factor

Tim Kelly
Oskar Baker
Dom Barry

All those have at least state combine invites

Ballenden might be worth bidding on if we miss out on a couple of other players

He is certainly versatile & seems to have a real strength of reading the drop of the ball, field kicking is very good to(not just for a player his size).

Plays an aggressive style of footy to, l think the Lions still likely match this bid but it means our second round pick moves up to based on the points system?

Hard to see Brisbane letting him go, but that means they will have a huge bank of gun young talls and could help us shaking one loose in coming seasons.

Am all aboard the Bayley wagon, really hope he is drafted
(preferably by a vic team). Won't have any character issues so really comes down to how much weight is put on testing numbers as to weather he's picked up or not.

Somewhere a grammar nazi is gnashing their teeth.
Good to see another lad from here in a big game. Tom Mills has been great in the Wimmera FL this year.
One on that list from very, very left field. Hasn't played TAC cup or VFL.
