Yep I'm full of shit. Watch cerra fall all the way through to the dogsYou really didn't answer his question. Makes me think you're full of shit.
I haven't watched much of Cerra up to this point because I'd just assumed he wouldn't be any chance to fall to our pick, but I'm doing a bit of research now - is this video reflective of him as a footballer? Because I am really not impressed if so.
Even this video is more of the same:
I assume it's just a bad game/vid but would like some stronger confirmation from somebody who has watched a lot more of him. It's certainly not in line with what I've read about him, to my eye.

Seems like a clever lad, ey. Would be excited if we took him at 16. I was right about his long arms too.How about our boy Oscar Allen
Looking good in his video today,
Its pretty insane if true but every club interviewed him twice at the combine!
Very impressive young manOscar Allen speaks extremely well. Comes across as very intelligent. I could see us liking him on that alone.

I have watched about 5 whole videos of Cerra, so I'm 100% an expert. From the videos I have seen, he looks like a decent footballer, finds the football, decent kick and good football IQ. However, there was just nothing in those videos that makes him stand out to me, seems pretty vanilla. Why are you not impressed? I have zero troubles looking at that vision.
Cerra is a consistently high production, classy inside mid with excellent skills. I'm going to assume some of his kicks out of congestion were not particularly to your liking, to which I would reply that people expect way, way too much from inside midfielders in draft pools. People want inside mids to have elite speed, size, clean skills under pressure, contested ball-winning ability and outside capacity. It's ridiculous. Cerra has terrific skills out of the contest with respect to all inside mids in this pool, and just because he hacked a couple of kicks in that SA game shouldn't be a knock on him.
I also feel that you didn't like the way he got caught with the ball a few times in the Allies game - it doesn't look good, but it happens to literally every footballer at some stage and Cerra's ability shouldn't be judged by two times he got caught blindly.
Cerra's hands are as good as Constable's out of the contest, and he has impressive agility and evasion. He can hit damaging kicks on the run with time and space, and is more than capable above his head. He's also shown the ability to provide good scoreboard pressure playing as a medium forward. He's the whole package, and uber-reliable.
I look at that vision and see misplaced kicks without the area being heavily congested, along with some dropped marks and some interesting decisions. Getting caught isn't really an issue for mine as he's clearly very aggressive in playing on and you're going to cop that occasionally when you are. It's the kicks that worry me, some of them are under only minor pressure. Why are you not impressed? I have zero troubles looking at that vision.

I will say that he looks to be a good kick when he gets an aggressive lead. He places the ball very well for leading forwards; there are numerous examples of it in those videos.
I'm not seeing a lot of evidence of his ability to pick a target out and hit them in other situations, though. All I'm really suggesting is that I don't see the skilfulness he's seemingly renowned for.
Just out of interest, if he fell to 9, you'd snap him up without hesitation?I think his kicking is overrated on what I've seen as well.
The rest of what Gollo said, I agree with though. I think he's got the tools to become elite and he'll only get better as he's missed a lot of footy over the last two years. What those videos probably didn't show was his ability to hit the scoreboard and more of his evasiveness. He kicked 3.5 and had 22 possessions in a game which tells you a bit about his talent. He's got a pretty big tank from what I hear as well, but hasn't been able to get that back up to full capacity because of injury. He would be a deserving top 5 pick still IMO.
I probably would, I feel like he wasn't primarily played in his best position at the champs but in saying this I really like some of his work up forward 1 on 1. Don't have many question marks over him and think his game will translate pretty well.Just out of interest, if he fell to 9, you'd snap him up without hesitation?
Just to move the discussion back here from the wishlist thread, Bishop said "Dogs have met with Constable a fair bit lately, so there is some mail there" for those wondering.
Bonts2Boyd our draft expert. heard any whispers lately?
I end up liking nearly every top 20 draftee I read aboutHow about our boy Oscar Allen

Look, he doesn't mind a tautology, but he is very assured in his explanations and seemed to have good awareness of his own game.Oscar Allen speaks extremely well. Comes across as very intelligent. I could see us liking him on that alone.
I’d love Zac Bailey at 16.Not This year Damo, no Luke Ryans in this draft
Keen on Constable and Coffield but think Coffield will go earlier than 9.
Can see us going a bit of a smokey with 16.
Who are you liking from this draft ?
