'Tis draft night - so kick back with a Yellow & Black Carlton Draught (If you have any left...) and soak in the glory that is; Re-signing Dustin Martin, winning a flag and going to the National Draft with 3 selections inside the Top 25, as well as a highly rated F/S!

Here's my IDEAL selections (Exactly what Twomey has us selecting, he has me excited...) based on Phantoms, Mocks etc:

#17 - Jaidyn Stephenson (Top 5 talent with a newly discovered heart condition, will be a star if he can manage the issue)
#20 - Jarrod Brander (Best KPP in the draft and could fall due to other teams needs)
#25 - Sam Hayes (Top 10 talent with a poor tank and questions surrounding development duration)
#? - Patrick Naish (Would be amazing if we can select 3 players before bid matching him)

Also rate Nathan Murphy, Charlie Ballard, Sam Taylor, Callum Coleman-Jones, Jack Petruccelle and Oscar Clavarino.

Between the talls and midfield sliders I haven’t really seen a combination of players I don’t like
Our worst case scenario is just an early bid on Naish but because we loaded up on picks around the same place it won’t be a huge loss anyway

I'd take one. if Nank gets injured we have injury prone Hampson or Soldo who probably isn't ready still.

Soldo is a lot more ready than any first year player. Plus Griff and even Chol if we have four ruck options go down at the same time.

We just recruited a ready-made premiership ruckman with pick 46, I don't know why we'd go away from that. At 25 we can get a mid who should able to contribute while we are still in our window.

What do people think of Charlie Ballard? A 195cm midfielder apparently.

Quite a few Phantom Drafts have him at our pick 20 while having Brander at pick 17.

  G'day mate. Stephenson is likely to be gone by the time Richmond enters the draft. There's a big chance the club goes for Brander, while there are whispers the Tigers might favour SA ruckman Callum Coleman-Jones over Hayes. Regardless, they're in a good spot.
