How many games he played now
Unsure I'm guessing he has played all since his first game which will be 3? This experience against grown men for 2-3 years will be invaluable.

He played as a small forward but pushed up the ground a bit as well. Was very good at applying pressure, nearly got a few Nightcliff players holding the ball from what I saw. Kicked a very silky snap goal from the boundary in the 4th.

Also had Nightcliffs captain playing on him at stages in the last quarter.

Have you got a copy of the new Y&B book? there is a chapter on our recruiting staff & there are some cryptic clues as to who we may be considering, it obviously doesn't mention names but a "big blok that can't run, is a liability defensively" could be Hayes they are talking about & "this guy is coming back from injury, is an absolute beast with massive upside (puts his name up to 1st rd list) could be Bonar?
Clarke also mentions he's looked at every key fwd in the AFL & makes a point of the fact they are all 1st rd/low picks & that you "can't go bargain shopping for key fwds, u have to pay a high price". If you have the book the chapter is called "shopping for products". seems he knows what he's doing.

We will trade into next year. Next year we will loose / trade a Premiership player or depth. This will occur regardless of our position finish, its inevitable. The picks this year were to have a couple of aces up our sleeve for Naish.
Yep.Its kinda interesting we only re-signed Townsend & George to 1yr deals.Being and ex GWS boy i expect Carlton to offer up pick 2 for him next year. What a bonus,Thanks SoS.

If you had of taken Charlie Ballard/ Sam Taylor with #25 giving Richmond
#17 - Noah Balta
#20 - Oscar Allen
#25 - Charlie Ballard/Sam Taylor
#26 - Patrick Naish

Knightmare has done his November Phantom Draft.

Bit of a lazy list their by Knightmare imo

#17 - Noah Balta - Tick
#20 - Sam Hayes - Hope this doesnt eventuate and would much rather Sam Taylor/Richards/Ballard
#25 - Patrick Naish - Without a bid ?

George got a two year deal but I agree it's surprising Townsend only got a 1 year deal. Maybe he has incentives to trigger an second year?

I'm more than happy with 1 year for Towno, can always extend during the season if he's killing it.
I loved what he did towards the back end of the season and in the finals but wouldn't consider him a lock in 2018, there are others that could go past him imo.
Wait and see is the correct decision.

Great read.
No idea who he's talking about in those cryptic clues you mention, they are a bit too cryptic for me "he's got an electric cut and go -true flash" sounds like a line from a Ziggy Stardust track to me.
Great insight to why Jack Graham fell so far though - clubs were scared off due to him being a man-child and having no further development.

Out of curiosity if pick 12 was used to bid on naish and we matched with pick 17 does that club now not have a pic until 17 or do they get pick 13?

They would just get pick 13 in sense
There really isn’t any downside for a club bidding on a player that they are generally interested in
With the only two outcomes being they get said player or they don’t and just pick again
