Pretty soft , break tackle and burn three players with speed and kick to advatange inside 50 . too bad all the assistant coach went back home, so nobody will report it to Ross Lyon in the last quater. But he got all the girls shout Brady Brady .

Was Ross there? Why would the assistants leave at 3/4 time?

Is a blow up score , maybe see enough . only Harley is there in the 4 quater . HB is not really what the media make of him, he is still young and make mistake but don't think he is that bad . I can see why Ross so upset with all the HB Rumours now.

Brady have a massive 4 quater , hate to said it Dudley ;). Kicking inside 50 Assit is gold. As for Ethan I think delisted material fall from cliff after peel GF . Really surprised to saw it in my own eyes . Drop marks , slow decision , bad kicking the best in nothing good about him today. Suban BOG not sure can translate into AfL .
Seems he took Ibbo as a role model too seriously

Really worried sign , is like take a step forward and three step back. His kicking float in the air a long time also .

Nyhuis, ryan, Taberner, and deluca all didn't play.

Suban was best on ground for peel. His vision to get the ball through the corridor was first class, and really he looked too good for wafl in this game. Just needs to transition this to AFL level.

Balic just has that knack of getting his hands on the ball first at stoppages. Probably didn't stand out as much as the previous match, but he did seem to have a bit of limited game time compared to other players. I really really like him, and he moves so well. He played heavily inside, but he has that ability to break away into space and get outside and had a few opportunities for goal. Again, his talent shows he is a level above WAFL. He also looks to me to be pretty close to that 190cm mark. He is a tall midfielder! Some strong wafl performances should hopefully see him getting an opportunity at AFL.

Apeness was having a real good game, get amongst the marks and doing well in the ruck. Looked good at ground level too, where he followed up and laid some tackles. He did hurt his knee, and did some run through's to try get back out there. Being a scratch match however I believe it was more or less wrapping him up in cotton wool. Time will tell.

Cox was handy getting some quality touches and kicked a couple goals also. He just looks so clean to me which is what I really like about him. Moves really well. I can't wait to watch him develop through the year.

I didn't rate Brady greys game as high as others have. He was just okay too me. Tough as nails as always.

Strnadica was reasonable around the ground and has the physical attributes to be a good key position/ruckman. Will take him time so be patient.

Hughes did stuff his kicks a couple times today, but normally his kicking is quite on point. He got in the right positions still and was even able to take some nice intercepts and contribute to some of our drives off half back.

Collins had a couple kicked on him early, but he seems to be all over the body work that those key position backs need to have, and he did some nice 1%ers and won some one on ones. Id love to see him become more aggressive and start contributing more offensively, as he has a really solid mark. But I guess we do have Johnson, Pearce, and now hamling who all play that role well. He doesn't seem to give away those silly free kicks, but almost certainly affects the contest which is a big tick for me.

Duman was okay, just needs to develop his body. He got out bodied a couple times in the one on ones, however he is quite tall and uses the ball nicely. He will be a project player.

Crozier was quite solid and ran hard most of the game. He would push his claims for ballas position considering he has played a lot of time in the JLT up forward, but would like to see him settle in a position and have another game at wafl.

Sheridan was disappointing for me. Didn't seem to contribute much at all and didn't seem to have that desperation that he wants to get back in the side. He needs to start putting in big number games to get back into the 1's.

Overall it was another solid performance by the team as a whole, and I cannot wait til the real stuff starts so we can get a better gauge of how all the players are going.

I can see why Ross so upset with all the HB Rumours now.

Because they were baseless and malicious lies designed to malign and erode the integrity of an innocent party who also happened to be from an ethnic minority which on every index of human needs fare worse than other Australians??

:thumbsu::thumbsu:Really hope you're right and from what you've described I'd say you likely are.
Thanks for the detailed summary too.:thumbsu:

I will give my version later .

Oh, also just as another comment ryan and Bennell look in high spirits. Ryan had a compression band on his leg, but looked to be walking fine. Hopefully wafl round one.

As for Bennell....
A guy he knew came up and had a talk to him, had a laugh and joke, and at the end of the conversation offered him some hot chips. Bennell took his sunnies off, lifted his shirt up and pointed straight at his abs as if to say "this body is a temple, I don't eat that rubbish".

He's confident in his body and the work his done to get it right. so he should be! Can't wait to see this star out on the park for us :thumbsu:

Just a preview before my report , I think HF is the most difficult position to play , grey play there in first half and look lost . can only see HB play there .

Another excellent summary - thanks! Be great if Balic can string another couple of good performances together. Maybe we'll see both HBs debut in Round 4 or so.

The training reports sometimes questioned Balic's fitness which seems at odds with Barls and WTGs comments. It had surprised me as well because a wrist injury is an invitation to build your running power. How is he performing in this regard?

Beautiful day.

Positive

Suban : not sure he got speed and time in AfL , but I think he play his best game today at wafl level . His kicking is elite , tackle well . Definitely not inside mid material but flanker.

Grey : a lot of score involvement result in b. McGowan scoring but very quiet 1st half to early third quater running like logue yesterday ( more as HF ) then not sure is the girl fan or other factor he explode playing inside mid in 4 quater. Just love a hard at it midfielder improve his kicking .

Balic : good but consider the current freo mid there is no spot for him , don't think HF suite him also . just need to keep improving himself as inside mid in wafl and wait patiently.

Croz : good at tackle but his kicking a bit off , what I mean is if grey kicking ( really good must be getting some lesson from mundy) is better than him today , something is not quite right , play HB and inside mid and a bit of HF . must be consider for ballas spot if he play well vs East Perth

Cox : score some goal and take some good mark .

Negative :

Sherriden : hardly get enough of the ball except that men bun vanilla is more tasty than him today.
Ethan Hughes ( intercept a few and straight away turn over or put teammate under pressure)

Great report mate, I agree with all you have said, except not enough Brady love for my liking.

NB: I may be a little biased ;)

Haha I really do like grey, just didn't think he was the best player for peel today. I've got a lot of time for him and hopefully he gets another opportunity soon in the purple :thumbsu:

Sometime buddy love can blind a person .:). BOG denifinely Belong to Suban .

I can only go by what I've seen game day, but his fitness looks fine too me, and he's put on size because he looks to be a bigger/taller midfielder. Not something I'd be reading too much into.

As a peel fan mention a few local player to watch

No 20. Brady McGowan
No 5 Leroy jetta ( class act )
No 10 t.bennell
Wild card no 6 Correy Morris

Defense will definitely miss bootsma long kick .

They took a bone graft from Balic's hip for his last lot of wrist surgery. I saw him a couple of weeks afterwards and he still had a decent limp from it.

This sounds bad but I'm at the stage now where I'm disappointed when I hear Suban has played a blinder for Peel.

Because that means he's putting his name up for a recall yet I've pretty much given up on him ever being able to translate that form to the higher level. I hope at some point the selection committee bite the bullet and just resign him to the 'too good for WAFL, not good enough for AFL' basket that DeBoer found himself in last year.
