WC depth is shit. Nothing to add to their midfield or ruck ,forwards are rubbish.
Please tone down a bit, their first team still look strong .why do you think I like peel so much .

Suban Mr inconsistent , last week BOG , this week BAOG. Can't wait for HB1 + HB 2.

Need to add. Francis Watson, gun. Not sure how he was hidden by west coast but , 23 touches off half back to half time. They have one there at a steal I think cat b rookie.

+
Big Boy Darcy - Already dispatching the journeyman. Looking forward to see his development.
Crozier - Pretty sure he locked himself in for a round 1 berth.
Grey - Very lively, didn't do his chances of an upgrade any harm.
Balic - As someone said above, Just knows where to go - Ball hog. Hopefully can string a few games together and get a taste at the top level.
Strnadica - Showed some real promise.
Peel boys - Number 13 Alexander Bray had a really good game.

-
Tabs - :-(
Sherro - Was meh.
Suban - Shouldn't get anywhere near the Freo team this year.

Just asking with no bad intention , how to fix suban. Surely he is capable to do better. At one time I thought the peel guy look better than him today.

It was a pretty ordinary game overall but far out for our youngsters to win against some seasoned AFL bodies was fantastic. I have no idea how East Perth racked up such high stats when we controlled the game in our forward half for the vast majority of the time. Thought our intensity was good the whole game up until we took the foot off the pedal at the end of the last quarter...
  • Darcy beating Giles was phenomenal! Such a great draft selection!
  • Collins, Hughes and Duman were very solid in defence and the way they helped lock the ball forward was fantastic. Hughes had 17 kicks and I can't remember any that didn't hit a target (I'm sure there were some but I can't remember them). Adding Nyhuis and Luke Ryan to that mix and Logue/Cox gaining confidence playing CHB should create a very young but strong back 6 for Peel.
  • Love the variation with Peel's inside brigade. Big Sean with his strong tap work and 2nd/3rd efforts, Grey with his manic pressure, Balic looking like he is half asleep but having the ball on a string at times, Crozier winning the ball on the ground and in the air, and Sheridan pretty solid as well but I wouldn't mind seeing some of that dash he showed in pre-season last year. Traye Bennell looked good on the outside as well. And O'Brien is just a work horse.
  • Other than Jetta I thought our forward line was very weak. Sure the inside 50 delivery was ordinary most of the game but there just wasn't enough coordinated movement i50 for them to kick to. It was really Tabs and Strnadica/Cox plus the Peel boys but it was a bit of a hot mess the whole game. Someone needs to take responsibility for leading and coordinating it. I think once they get the forward line gelling, Peel will be a very strong team this season. Also hoping (Harley) Bennell's warm up games for Peel will coincide with some TV coverage :)
Poor Francis Watson has chosen the wrong team - he's young, they make mistakes. Luckily for us, a far better version in Jason Carter will be on our list at the end of next year.

The problem is in Suban's head. He thinks he's a beast like Fyfe and able to break through the pack. Suban should learn to play the outside game more. Make space for himself, learn to lower his eyes, etc. Should try to play more like Brad Hill and less like Fyfe.

Thanks ,100x agree , just can't believe he is totally out of sync today compare to last week. I can see sherriden turn into another suban too , better than last week display but this guy play a lot of AfL compare to other.

Ripper game too (I'm footy starved) but it was a good tempo, fought a draw in the first half, Peel effectively won the game in the 3rd but there was just enough of a fightback to make it interesting for the last quarter.
The new batch of up & comers are the most exciting we've had for ages. Loved the way Grey and Balic took the game on, Crozier went hard, lacked some polish at times but he really fights in the contest.
Darcy is amazing & Stradnica could be anything. Duman and Cox have got something, Logue is big, strong and goes hard, I'm loving the idea of a defence with A Pearce and Logue in it. Got a feeling those 2 will make a great team together.

What about Redden. Bloke always seems a step behind even at WAFL level. Tackle numbers look good but I think that's more because he's always 2nd to the ball. Even when he does get it he must have sold his teammates out at least 4-5 times with hospital handballs. He's 26 yrs old and should be in his prime.

What a dud trade for Pick 17.

Awful game for the spectators tonight. The crowd was dead quiet. Crap skills from both teams.

-Balic was excellent on the inside, but needs to work on his kicking a bit
- Crozier was pretty good tonight. He worked hard all game.
- Chalky always puts in 100% and ran himself to the point where he came off the ground puking
- Jetta was our saviour. Thank god for him otherwise Peel might have kicked 20 behinds tonight.
- Darcy showed promise. We've got something to work with here.

Now for the negatives. If you are easily triggered then look away now...

-Logue was average. He needs a lot of work. His positioning as a defender is all wrong and imo we are better off making him an inside mid.
-Suban was crap. He tries hard but he is just average and he tried to kick a player as well so wtf was he thinking?
-Sheridan was Mr. Invisible. He gave a lot of instructions but I just don't remember him all game.

lol @ lamb. He moves like he has an iron rod inserted up his ass. Absolute Bust.

jokes... yeah Logue's 1st half was below average, out of position a few times and a few questionable disposals throughout the game. Few good things too though. Has a bit to work on but not worried at all. Ross said to Mark Duffield that he see's Logue's future in the backline. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Suban was crap, but I'm thinking it might be a positive. Very unlikely to get a gig for Freo off that performance.

He resorts to that because he has no evasive skills, smarts or awareness. He's not even quick enough really to play a decent outside game and even his supposed weapon kicking is overrated. Seriously crap footballer.

Would've even kept someone like de Boer over him, he's pretty ordinary but at least has half a footy brain.

Forgot to mention I thought the call on TV was incredibly biased by Readings (I think it was). Constantly calling frees for EP and sounding really dubious about the ones we got. Minimising or ignoring good plays by Peel players and talking up EP.
Peter Bell was no help either, he seems determined not to show any bias toward Freo and seems to be over compensating.
When Dennis was on they stopped even trying to call the game, whole passages they just talked over, I hate that, at least call the names of the players as they're involved or shut up. Its like trying to watch a game at a mates house and there is a couple of people in the room who just talk through the whole thing.

Sneakily watched the game at work so it was muted for the whole game. Was thinking about rewatching to hear what was said.... maybe not.
