GWS would ask for a lot more. If you assume Essendon won't go back would they really accept let's say pick #11 and #15 for those two? Why are they giving a 2nd back as well!

They would get more if they split them up.

Why would Brisbane need to overpay in a trade for a player to get a good compo pick for another player you spud.

Because he's contracted you spud.

If the deal isn't right we hold on to him like Gibbs last year. Brisbane could get a pick as high as 2 for the Compo for Rockliff. Brisbane revive pick 2 and Charlie Cameron for rockliff (FA) and ports 1st and us crows supporters sit back and enjoy apricot slice and Chardonnay.

Someone who can take a pack mark in the clutch is pretty good

For real he is an upgrade on Darling who is also involved in the deal and a somewhat proven KPF. High draft picks are overrated and late draft picks are underrated.

As much as I would probably be happy to move Thompson on, he probably will stay, the other 4 though will all be looked to be moved on come seasons end.
