Oh baby we are back again for season 2018! Past champions in Jobe Watson and Brent Stanton have retired, signalling the beginning of a new generation of Essendon guns. Last season, Zach Merrett claimed his second consecutive title as this board's player of the season after a record breaking 2016. In 2017 he finished 5 votes ahead of Michael Hurley, who was followed by the skipper Dyson Heppell.
How will our new boys in Jake Stringer, Devon Smith and Adam Saad fare this season? What improvement will we see from kids like Darcy Parish and Andy McGrath?

THE RULES

As you may well know, after every Essendon match in the 2018 Premiership Season (including finals), there will be an MVP thread opened up where you will vote for who you thought were the standout players on the ground. The voting method is very simple. Following this template;

5. BEST ON GROUND
4. 2nd best
3. 3rd best
2. 4th best
1. 5th best

Votes will close at midnight on Thursday (that is, the beginning of Thursday), votes will be tallied, and the top 5 vote-getters will be our top 5 players for that week.


PLEASE keep in mind that you need to clearly label who gets the 5 votes and so on, just to make it easier for the votes to be counted. It's very difficult when votes are unlabeled.
