Welcome back to the most prestigious Essendon-centric award available to players who don the sash. Greater than a Crichton, shinier than a Brownlow - the winner of this award is so proud to win that they don't even ask for a physical prize. Which is good, because we don't have a budget.
After a real drop-off in interest last year, I let this award go by the wayside from Round 17 onwards, but I have since caught up on the count and Mason Redman is a first-time winner for 2022, followed by new skipper Zach Merrett as his bridesmaid.
THE RULES
As you may well know, after every Essendon match in the AFL™ Toyota™ 2023™ Premiership™ Season™ there will be an MVP thread opened up where you will vote for who you thought were the standout players on the ground. The voting method is very simple. Following this template;
3. BEST ON GROUND
2. 2nd best
1. 3rd best
Votes will close around 6-7pm on Tuesday or thereabouts. Votes will be tallied and the top 3 vote-getters will be our top 3 players for that week.
PLEASE keep in mind that you need to clearly label who gets the 3 votes and so on, just to make it easier for the votes to be counted. Some of you weirdos make your own nicknames that make no sense. If your votes do not follow that format they may not be counted.
