I’m pretty good at moving on. Not ruling out a trade up though.

Stop lying. We all want him in the maroon but you were too close. I see your lip quivering

TheWalshDog

I was petty close to becoming the PulpWalsh. Will suck to see such a Lions supporting gun in other colours but I guess we did it with Oliver, and Seton...

Most likely Walsh gets taken before us but l wonder what the possibility of him asking for a trade to us in the following season? Wishful thinking?

99 percent of players support a club prior to being drafted. Many of them passionately. The number who demand a trade to that club, let alone after one year is basically statistically insignificant.

We either go get him now, or we move on.

Bring on live trading, then hopefully we might be able to conjure something to get him.

Some big movers following champs Mcfayden comes in at 12

I'll have to go have a search but I wonder how Knightmare rated Eric Hipwood and Harris Andrews in their draft years. Or maybe he could save me the searching and KM could tell us??

He really values high contested possession winners in the midfield, interesting player comparison ie. Nat Fyfe :) who went at pick 20 in 2009. KM also has Jarrod Cameron rated at 18.

Note- I love KMs write ups.

Read his Matt Hammelmann, Cain Tickner and Isaac Conway ones while you’re there.

Hipwood I had at 8: https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/knightmares-2015-draft-almanac.1091303/

Andrews I underrated and had at 32 in my power rankings: https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/knightmares-2014-phantom-draft.1060197/

I like my QLD prospects and I find when I like them, they typically work out pretty well - see Crossley last year who I rated at 17 last year in my power rankings: https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/knightmares-2017-draft-almanac.1161261/

As for McFadyen who I may as well weigh in on while I'm here. Brisbane are incredibly lucky to have access to. He was for mine the best player for Allies both as a midfielder and a forward. Super powerful ball winner, has the height at 190cm and has the marking gift forward of centre. I listed him as similar to Nat Fyfe as stylistically that is who he plays like. Is he as good? No. But he can be one of the best players from this draft. I toyed with placing him as high as 8 in my July power rankings. After that first 7, McFadyen is of comparable or better talent than everyone else in my view. He's a tall mid with the attributes, production and impact in two positions. I'll absolutely make a point about mentioning his performances where notable as I did with Crossley last year, as like with Crossley, McFadyen is the latest, legit Northern Academy prospect.

*Worth noting with a lot of these QLD prospects. In each of the cases with Hipwood, Andrews, Crossley and McFadyen. My position in my power rankings differs to where I believe they feature in the draft. Despite rating McFadyen at 12, I see him as a 15-35 prospect at the moment. Possible first rounder, but more likely at this stage attracting a second round bid.
