I hope we can manage to get young Thomas Berry....we will need another set of brothers as is tradition with us.

The Voss, Scott and Beams brothers, just to name a few.

Tradition is a wonderful thing;)
That history tells us he won't be better than his brother.

....or we get one with the same work ethic and drive as big brother. Even half as good would be ok by me and a good get...

....he has also captained his own team too, so there is something there.

Assuming no bid before our second, can’t we just match a bid with our third and go into negative points?

We can. I’m not entirely sure Noble would be a fan of that though. I’ve probably got McFadyen at 35+. Cooled big time.

How do we get next years Premiership?

Premierships are for losers who are too scared to play with the big boys on draft day.

Would hate to be one of those clubs who is perpetually loading up on premierships and never ever having a realistic shot at pick 1 or the ultimate prize i.e. youngest list.

The real season starts in October

Geez if you go back and look at the impact on our club from our picks in the 1st round compared to the impact when we've traded for an established player that is in ours and every teams best 22 (Beams & Cameron) it's a no brainer.

We've heard the experts say there are 7 players who are a cut above in this draft. Walsh, Luko, Smith and Rankine probably go in the first four picks, Blakey gets matched wherever he gets picked, meaning at #5 it's either one of the Kings, or reaching for Rozee/Hately. In that case I think trading for Neale is definitely the best move, the Kings might have dominated TAC Cup just due to their size, and Rozee/Hately would be doing well if they turned out as good as Neale.

Valid argument.

Made more so by the fact that we have by most quantitative measures, done a really good job over the last couple of drafts.

Time to cash in some chips and import some ready made midfield quality in the age demographic that fits our list

Generally agree but it's possible a King goes at 2-4 leaving Smith available at pick 5

Tom Stewart just made the AA team. Absolutely believe we should be looking at a mature aged recruit with our second or third round pick
Excellent call....
Marty Hore (coll vfl) left foot halfback intercept marker bout same size as hodge.
Tom Jok (coll vfl) a very exciting player and rapid improver. Can pley wing forward or even ruck. Think lighter Majak Daw with elite hands and electrifying speed.

Still a long way to go, but from what I've heard, St Kilda are keen on him. Adelaide will be too, if they don't get Lukosius.

Crows pick after ours. If Saints are taking Rankine it means one of the King brothers is left at our pick. Would rather trade the pick if that’s the case.

Could someone give me info on McFadyen, size, shape, position, how long till he would be ready for a senior roll, and who he would push down the pecking order when he comes in? thanks.
